All of the browsers have issues, period. As a web developer you learn quickly that things that work in IE might not work in other browsers and vice versa, because they all have little quirks. IE has gotten better with their browsers, as they used to be totally against industry standards which caused all kinds of headaches for programmers. I use Firefox because I can make it look closer to what I want it to look like (lean) and all the other cool plugins that IE doesn't allow.
BTW, when IE8 came out there was a study that said it was the MOST secure browser so the 'security issues' thing is a myth. More people use IE, more people try to crack IE, and that's a simple fact. I believe it was the same study that said FF was the worst for security. Doesn't change the fact that I'm going to use it.
Browser wars are great for the people who use them as it forces Microsoft, Mozilla, Opera, Google, all of them, to advance their product and in the end, we all win.
