Warside Arrives on Steam, But Co-op Isn't Available Yet

"Warside is a freshly-released, turn-based strategy game for Steam from Lavabird and First Break Labs. We've been excited for it not just because of its lovely Advance Wars-style graphics and intuitive gameplay, but also for its promised co-op support. Well, now that the game is here, it turns out that co-op won't be arriving until the console ports come along. That's a shame, but the currently-available solo campaign and competitive multiplayer are nothing to sneeze at," says Co-Optimus.

"Back in the good old days, baseball games were fairly simple and easy to play. One of the more popular NES baseball games was Bases Loaded from Jaleco. A sequel called Super Bases Loaded was later released for the Super NES, offering much improved graphics and sound. Rather than allow the series to be forgotten, Sickhead Games and Rock It Games have just released a collection called Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded on PC," says Co-Optimus.

Having trouble viewing the text? You can always read the original article here: New Official Battlefield Labs Video Shows Bad Company 2 Levels of Destruction
Key Takeaways- DICE issued a community update on Battlefield Labs, focusing on the scale of destruction in the next Battlefield game.
- DICE aims to make destruction an integral part of the game, allowing players to reshape the environment for tactical advantages.
- DICE is using Battlefield Labs to understand which environments can be destroyed, the impact of collateral damage, tactical uses of destruction, and balancing the damage ecosystem.
As Battlefield Labs testing continues, DICE has issued another community update to keep non-testers in the loop. This one should make many fans happy, as it’s entirely focused on the scale of destruction, with them sharing an early look at just how chaotic things can get.
Bad Company and Bad Company 2 veterans will undoubtedly love what they’re about to see.

DICE is ushering in new melee weapons in the new Battlefield game, and aside from looking different, they can even do something new as well, and that's aiding in destruction of the environments such as walls, structures and more.
DICE Shows Off an Early Look at the Scale of Destruction for the Next Battlefield Game
As shared on X, DICE has issued a new community update for Battlefield Labs, this time focusing on the scale of destruction. What used to be a staple feature in the Battlefield franchise, the series has undergone significant downgrades in terms of destruction, with Battlefield 2042 being perhaps the lightest we’ve seen. It seems that DICE is finally listening to the community, as the newest Labs video (which you can watch above) demonstrates just how advanced destruction can be in the latest Battlefield game.
Although this isn’t a representation of the final product, DICE shared in the post that they’re aiming to make destruction an integral part of the franchise.
“Our goals for destruction are centered around adding further gameplay depth by allowing you to reshape the environment and transform your surroundings toward a tactical advantage. For example, barging through walls to surprise your enemies, reshaping the battlefield to create new paths into the capture zones, or taking down a building to take out an attacking squad.
We’re designing destruction around easily identifiable visual and audio language that lets you understand what can be destroyed, altered, or transformed through gameplay.
We aim to make destruction an integral part of your Battlefield experience to create an intuitive, fun, and rewarding environment where you feel empowered to shape the world around you.”
It’s more than just throwing an explosive and seeing things go boom, though, as the team explains that there will be visual cues showing structure degrading after taking enough damage to indicate that it can be destroyed. Players will also be able to create more destruction-related opportunities during gameplay, such as creating holes to shoot from and using the surrounding walls as cover. With rubble now remaining on the battlefield, players will even be able to use it as extra cover. Floors can be blown up, allowing you to quickly descend to a lower level of a building, and even expose enemies without facing them head-on.
Now we’re not sure if the destruction will allow us to level entire maps, like in the Bad Company line of Battlefield games, as DICE is using Labs to understand a few key things (listed below). Some of which are which environments can and can’t be destroyed.
- Understanding which environments can or cannot be destroyed and which type of firepower is required for different material types
- The impact of collateral damage from debris and destructible elements
- Tactical use of destruction to create new pathing or persistent environments
- Balancing the ecosystem of damage through firepower and destruction
So I’ll go on a limb here and say it won’t be on the full scale of Bad Company 2, but based on the video above, it’s pretty up there, and looks to be the most destruction in a Battlefield game since the last entry (Bad Company 2) in the series.
I don’t know about you guys, but this news excites me, and I cannot wait to see how DICE pulls it off in the next Battlefield game. The wait for that won’t be too long either, as it’s expected to arrive between now and March 2026.
