    Re: Some Updates

Someone had suggested that for special event winners we start using stars to signify how many times they have won an event. I believe that came up in the Labor Day thread when I posted the possible ribbons that could be won. Well I took it to heart and created some new ribbons and fixed up the website so they will display properly in the display case, forums, etc. Here are your new ribbons:

Image this takes the place of this ribbon: Image and signifies ONE event win all-time.
Image this signifies TWO event wins all-time.
Image this signifies THREE event wins all-time.
Image this signifies FOUR event wins all-time.
Image this signifies FIVE event wins all-time.
Image this signifies SIX or MORE event wins all-time.

I couldn't really make an endless amount of ribbons as that would be a pain, hopefully this will be good enough.

    Re: Some Updates

If you want to do it military style, the stars should be bronze indicating 1 and Silver indicating 5 so one silver star on your ribbon would indicate 6 times it was awarded.

I don't mind doing that when I have time. Funny that I was close to that kind of setup without even knowing. :P

Well oak leafs are used to designate more than one award, and Stars are actually used for more than one Campaign.

Well we've never really followed the military standards.. mostly just used them for inspiration.

Fixed a bug where if you were using more than one soldier name your TKC BC2 server statsverse emulated page could have bogus stats.

    Re: Some Updates

Today you didn't see me online because I've been working on some things. Mostly cleaning up crap we don't need any more on the web server, and working on improving our Server Status page. That page has always been TOO SLOW due to the backend code (that I didn't write). Not only that, it would fry the CPU when someone would use it and it would slow the website down. Well I CHUNKED that crap. I found on GameTrackers that if you have a premium account with them, you can get server data feeds, so thanks to TKC I now have a premium account so that I can use it to get server data feeds to our website. Now unfortunately it doesn't have ALL of the info that the old code had, such as what squad someone is in, but for the sake of speed, this is much better. I will probably work on it and make it look a little better tomorrow but for now it's working well enough. I will probably find bugs tomorrow but it is there if you want to take a look.

This will probably be the fastest way to see who is on what server now... have fun.
