Donations Update

As you might of noticed the two people who usually keep this clan moving forward via donations, brownman and bikerdog haven't been able to donate like they usually do. There are some of you who have been giving $5, $10 and $20 and we do appreciate that a bunch, but I just want you guys to know that our bills are such that those donations, while helpful, don't really cover the cost of what we do (unless more members actually donated $5, $10 and $20). Because of the money that biker donated in the past, we are still ok for the time being, but our reserves are diminishing. Without a larger donation every once in a while, it will be hard to sustain the cost of all that we do.

I'm telling you this because some of you might of stopped really paying attention once bikerdog joined and donated very generously, but he told us right from the start that his business is such that sometimes he has extra money, and some times he doesn't. Of course, it's really not his job to pay for you and me. If you can donate, please do. Help me keep this clan moving forward.

Another update..

The clan leaders are discussing the possibility of getting our own dedicated gaming server which would be able to host all of our game servers. The cost per month of that will be $260 with a one time setup fee of $40. After doing some math it appears that after BF3 comes out, having our own dedicated server would probably make more sense. As far as cost, it would be essentially the same as what we pay now, but it would be our OWN server and we wouldn't be subject to any problems the other people on our server, who we don't know, might be causing because there won't be any others on our server, only us. The server we'd get would be able to handle 250-300 connections at a time which for us, at this point, is more than enough. We'd choose the managed server option which means we'd still have support from the server host and would be able to add new servers the way we do now using their website which means it would be pretty much instant. The only drawback would be that a dedicated server can only be in one place, and for us that place would be Chicago. However if we need to get a Euro server we can just purchase one like we do now, no problem

I'm telling you this because we do have a problem. Without the bankroll of our major benefactors, BikerDog and Brownman, we aren't taking in enough money to handle all that we want to do. We have a campaign we're about to start for recruiting that is going to cost money, we give prizes away each month, and we haven't taken in a donation over $20 in a couple of months. As I have said before, I understand some of you can't afford anything or only a little bit here and there, this message isn't for you. We appreciate all that you do. This is for those who maybe haven't ever given and have the means, or if you have a little extra money that you could afford to give us. The fact that we haven't taken in a couple of big donations is really catching up to us and it would be very helpful if a couple of you could come through. I don't have a job but will donate $40 as soon as I complete this post.. anyone else?

I donated last night. I put some in typically whenever i make some ammount of money.

Ok I donated another $30 to make it $50 from me this month.

Gonna send some more your way once I deposit my paycheck. I really like the idea of a dedicated server. Much more reliable.

Thanks to you guys.. anyone else? We still need more donations so that I feel comfortable about any decision regarding a dedicated server for TKC, our campaigns, etc. Can anyone maybe cover the $40 one time fee for the server setup (which will take 2-9 days once we purchase it)?

I can probably cover it after this week. Gotta pay some bills here first then see what I got left from there. I dont see it being a problem though.

Yes I'm begging, I don't want money to stand in the way of some great ideas and the excitement that is building in the campaign department.

Sorry T3, I forgot I owed $60 for the reward I offered a while ago for some issue that I had but I figured out anyways, I did just donate $60, so hopefully this helps to cover the cost of the server. I used it for Reserved Slot, I not sure if my time was close to being up or not, but use this money for the general fund also if needed. Always glad to answer the call

Dang it all, I also apologize for just now seeing this post today T3. I usually log onto our forums daily and I cant believe I didnt see this post on Friday the 2nd. If I would have noticed it sooner I would have donated the $$$ sooner, so I hope its not to late, if it is to late, keep the $$$ anyways...haha...lol...woot...wtf..really? Oh my! Im in a good mood today and no im not drunk, they banned drinking at work last week anyways...

Thanks Boo_Yaa... we'll make sure your reserved slot is setup.

Also, when someone buys a reserved slot and they already had an active one, we just make the start date of the latest purchase the day after the expiration of the previous purchase so that they get every day they paid for. Your previous purchased reserved slot was to expire on 11/21 so we made the start date of your latest purchase, 11/22.

I'm currently in the process of Moving from North Carolina back to Canada Once I get settled in there and get a Job you can expect Donations from me on a Regular basis. Not sure what I'm going to be doing once I get there or how much I will be able to donate but you can be assured I'll be donating atleast once a Paycheck.
