I got my Core i5 2500k to 4.4GHZ using my Zalman 9900 stable.

As far as the RAM goes, the higher frequency kit would be faster, despite it having slower timings, im just not sure it would be worth the price. Like i also said before, intel does not recommend using 1.65V RAM for sandy bridge either. I personally use 1.65V RAM, as i wasn't aware of it when i switched from AMD to Sandy Bridge, but i've read intel suggests using 1.5V RAM.

So in short 1.65V will work, but it is not recommended. I would honestly buy this kit, its cheaper, is plenty fast, and is 1.5V

Your motherboard will knock the RAM back to that frequency anyway.

Thanks for that ram Cecil it's my new standard since it's the Mhz I want, and tight timings as opposed to alternating ones. Someone see if there's any tighter timings, Doubtful though. Updating my parts list.

You are right there cecil and if you did want to you could always try and bring the timing down on the ram to make them a little better, just have to do some trial and error.

After using Cecil's 8 gigs as a projection and a guide to buying similar memory, I went on Newegg and Volt, and matched the ram and found a 16 gig version with the same Mhz and Timings, so I'm going with those. Link below

Indeed they are. Especially since DDR3 is Double the power of DDR2 so haha.
