Since BC2 runs best on 4 core CPUs, I think that upgrading that CPU will help alot. Im no expert in this, but I think BF3 will have the same, or higher sys req than BC2, and therefore a CPU uprgade will be a good thing :)

That rig should run it fine, but you're gonna have to xfire that 5770 to experience the full quality of the game most likely. I'm gonna buy 2x 6970's when this is released.

Maybe upgrade your CPU to a 6-core or a 4 core 4 costs $150 i think for AMD and 6core costs $200. Possibly a new graphics card too everything else should be fine

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

6-core won't matter unless he'll be using multithreaded programs or recording while gaming. Games can only use 4 cores max right now.

I'm more than likely getting a 590 for free...I hope it pans out!

    YAY another oven...lol

    http://techgage.com/news/nvidia_launche ... e_gtx_590/

Easily exceeds 80C on load...another NVIDIA oven for ya. Overclocking it is a joke, and NVIDIA exaggerated its performance. They claimed it would be upwards of 20% faster than the HD 6990, but this card is about right on with the 6990, excelling in some games while the 6990 beats it in others. And they also claimed it would perform around the same as 2x GTX 580's...but that was also untrue upon release. It performs around the 2x GTX 570 area...and you can buy 2 GTX 570's for about the same price and get the same performance if not better. Same thing rings true with the 6990. AMD said it should be the same as 2x 6970, but 2x 6970's outperform the 6990 and cost less too, which is why I'm planning on getting 2x 6970's when BF3 is released.

Yeah...but are you getting both of those cards for free? I will take the $700 oven for free that performs as well as a 6990 any day. Over two cards I would have to pay for. Not sure what case you have, but I don't see the heat as an issue in mine.

hahaha I'm not hating. I'd be glad to get that card for free, but I'm getting into overclocking my cpu so high heat is a big turnoff for me, that's all.

And I have a Cooler Master Elite Black Mid-Tower, with 2 extra case fans other than the stock one.

I plan on upgrading to the i5 2500k, or i7 2600k. I don't really see myself needing to overclock, but I will have the option. Those processors are pretty much the top of the heap. I am sure the 590 will bottleneck my Q6600, I will have to upgrade soon. I will be using the card to do 3D gaming reviews on different projectors, well more of a review of how front projectors handle 3D gaming. That's why I will get one for free, if everything works out.
