Stores don't carry as much as they used to. I never go to the store anymore, I rely on online reviews. I order about 90% of what I buy online, B&M stores are so 5 years ago...ha ha. I just ordered my new smart phone online from Amazon Wireless, I got the Droid X for $49, no tax and free shipping. If I went into the Verizon store to buy it, I would have paid about $200.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

Pfft...not even then. I just looked at reviews. I saw my TV in the store after I had already bought it. I've bought both my TV's from Wal-Mart without seeing them.

No just saying that reading reviews on a product is about the best way to go. The specs can look awesome and you may even be able to see/hear the product in a store and like it, but then start reading reviews about how that particular products is consistently breaking after 3 months of use. Just adding my two cents since I can't really suggest any particular setup, but I can still contribute some advice towards the buying experience in general.

Not to mention that in stores like Best Buy, you are usually getting a source that is regurgitated to 100 other TV's, and it's not a HD source most of the time. You can't judge a TV until you see it running a good source, and until it has been properly calibrated. I have seen TV's in the store that look horrible, but once calibrated would blow away about 90% of the TV's out there. You can never judge by what is put in front of you in a B&M store.
