Kinda off-topic, but this popped into my head. Scientific studies say the human eye can't notice a difference in anything above 30 fps. I call that bullcrap. I notice a HUGE difference between 30fps and 60. above 60 I can't notice a difference, but if it drops below that, I can tell.

Yes, the 6970 is much better, but it's overkill at this point in time in my opinion.
