PC Gaming FOR THE WIN!

Don't know If anyone has seen this video but I gather 4 of my friends that play on there PS3's 24/7 playing COD, BC2, and other games, so anyway I told them that these games look like a bunch of arcade silly shooter games. They said back "Well what type of shooter you play?" "I'm a PC gamer" "So? PC Gaming is almost dead anyway" "Come watch this video then"

I proceeded to show all of them this video:

Imediately after that they said "Can I get that game for Console?" Me:"Sure! If you want it to catch on fire because of all the greatness in the video!"
3 of them said they now want to start building up there PC
1 of them said that It looks fake
If you showed this video to every console fanboy out there, they would cry to have this game

That video, was like a movie. It reminded me of the HL2 cinematic mod, except when you choose to keep all the good things the mod destroyed for HL2, because that mod changed the models, and the music was changed. This is truly cutting it close to reaching the impeccability of game graphics to real life perspective. Damn good, I'm ready to spend $2,500 on a PC now

I spent $830 and I can play BC2 in max settings at 70-100 fps...just goes to show you don't have to spend thousands to get good gameplay.

Ehhhh, I guess that would be the smart thing to do. But the COOL THING TO DO IS GET A COMPUTER THAT WON'T SLOW DOWN FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS AHAHAHAHA . Nah just kidding.

RDJ thanks for the video of that game, that's the way they should all be (what was it anyway, I want). Like the way the enemy slightly glowed red and love those jungle scenes.I don't know anything about mods but would like to learn about them if that's the performance you can expect.

As for the dude in the second video he was right on, and I don't think he went far enough. The PC offers flexibility consoles can only drool over, yeah they cost more so does a nice car. Do these console players actually think they get a good product for less than half the price. Maybe they should lobby there companies to integrate the two platforms on a single online game and see who comes out ahead, that would settle it.

I didn't watch the whole thing, I was making breakfast while listening, so didn't catch if he touched on the consoles heat issues or not. I live in a desert, SFV in Ca., and when I had a PS3 hooked up I had to have fans up the wazoo to keep it stable enough to play half a day, the venting on them is almost non-existent. We have all heard of the red ring of death. Also PS3 would always warn me not to turn off the machine while the HD was working without catastrophic effects, hell you can yank the plug right out of the wall on a PC anytime you want with no noticeable ill effects.

I think I drank to much coffee, so that's enough ranting for now. Thanks for the forum, any of the people here at the house would be throwing there food at me about now. (console players).

That mod is wowww

The game is a mod of the Crysis engine. So Crysis or warhead or some other thing by the people of said game.

That version of the Crytek engine is more than 3 years old and its visuals are still better than anything out on the console right now.

Crytek 3.0 will make all the little console gamers piss there pants.

(2.0 does have optimization problems - thats why new cards now dont get as high of ratings you'd expect, but the new engine will be able to optimize so you get the bet possible settings at a reasonable resolution)
