Anyone else fighting the man about home appraisals??

I received the tax appraisal on my house and once again it is ridiculous compared the the houses around me. Mine's one of the smallest on my block and it is appraised at more than a lot of others that are bigger. I protested once before and they knocked a nice chunk off.

Looks like it's time to return and strike fear into the heart of the appraisal district. I have my spreadsheet and I'm locked and loaded.

Anyone else doing this?

woohoo double-wide FTW, they dont even show up out here in the country... nobody shows up somthing about banjos, 7 dogs, and my trailer trash toddler running around the place in his baby wife beater scares people off

Funny you should bring this up, I have bin going throught the same promblem for two months now. We just put on a large addition to or home and befor it was even completed here comes the county appraiser to jack up it's value, It ended up almost doubling what it was, To make a long story short I had to go down there and fill out some paper work and take a list of all the houses that sold around me for much less than they wanted to value my house at. I got all the paper work i need to prove this for my friend that is a realtor, They ended up taking about 1\3 of the valve off and it saved me a bunch of money. not sure were you live but here in Florida the house values have drop way down so it's not to hard to get the the country appraiser the revalue your home.

They are the same every where, they just want more money from you.
