    Re: North American Union

    got this from wikipedia:

The North American Union (NAU) is a theoretical regional union of Canada, Mexico, and the United States possibly similar in structure to the European Union, sometimes including a common currency called the Amero or the North American Dollar. While the idea of regional integration has been discussed, proposed,[1] or debated in academic, business and political circles for many decades,[2] government officials from the nations say there are no plans to create such a union and no agreement to do so has been signed.[3] The formation of a North American Union has also been the subject of various conspiracy theories.

It's not true, that won't happen, i hope not...

    Re: North American Union

Its been talked about for a long time and has been the topic of discussion in many meetings between North American Leaders. The said truth is...it will happen eventually, but is up to us the voters to refuse the acceptance of it.
Also, the idea of placing RFID chips (microchips) into every Drivers License to monitor where you are in the world all the time is one step closer to George Orwells' 1984.

**Its already started, there are microchips in new licenses.

Maybe, but the U.N. were the ones who came up with it, because it will help lead to a one world government. Oh yeah, did I mention that once this superhighway is opened, a passport will no longer be required to travel into canada, mexico, or into the us? Yeah, it's happening.

    Re: North American Union

The United States needs to fix up their own problems before becoming a member of some union with other countries. In fact, when our government was first established many of the contributors to the Constitution wanted to set up something more like of the EU of today. These "Anti-Federalists," who held more conviction in the federalist system than that of the "Federalists," called for stronger states under a more powerful but still not all powerful nation. If they just changed the words "states" with "country" and "nation" with "union" than maybe they could have achieved what they wanted. However, by maintaining those words and with the absolute failure of the Articles of Confederation, the founders went back on a lot of the ideas that were conceived of at the time of the Revolution, setting up the federal government to slowly but surely consolidate more and more power to the hands of the executive branch. Thanks to this we basically have an elective monarchy with some, but not as many as intended, checks on the president. Last time I checked, it was up to Congress to declare wars and fund occupations. Last time I checked, it was up to the judiciary and not executive to interpret the meanings of laws, especially the intent of the Constitution. Last time I checked, the legislative was intended to create laws and policies and not the president. Thanks to some of our best Presidents, such as Washington, Jefferson (who himself was for the Legislature encompassing more power but threw those ideas away with the purchase of Louisiana), Theodore Roosevelt, and some of our not so great, Reagan and Bush the latter, for taking power away from the hands of the many and putting it in the hands of the few. In my humble opinion, we needed a government that fell somewhere between the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution. Well, we are stuck with what we got and any chances of a continued Revolution are unlikely so we might as well just fall victim to the numbing and dumbing of the mass media.

Oh lord.. you see, you reveal yourself a liberal and your comments null and void when you throw Reagan in the 'not so good' category. That is all I will say about that.
