Squids is gone forever...

I am ordering a new Squids and will be uploading the old squids to it.. it will take a while. Also, some of our stuff is going to be broken until I fix it. Don't hold your breath. I will see about fixing it tomorrow.

i don't think that this is good for the clan at all. people who were regulars on flems when flems went down still might not know about the new flems. so some of them probably didn't even bother, there goes a portion of players. now the squids regulars are going to be leaving? crap. that sucks. flems was the most popular out of the 2 dm_sniper tkc servers, when flems went down and then back up at a new ip squids was the most popular and still was even since yesterday. in the end it doesn't matter because we have a solid clan with enough regulars :D

Im in total shock. Is squids gone forever ? You say that and then say your going to upload the old squids to the new squids. Im not sure what that means.. what does it mean >? I have to say that map was the best I ever ever played..it was the only one I cared to play. And the very reason I wanted to play at all. What happened to squids.. was it decided to let it die or did some fatal crash happen ???? Seriously I think we all deserve to know.. I was thinking real hard about donating myself even tho Im not TKC just to see it still be around and now its gone just like that. After I talked about donating I got a not so nice pm message from a tkc member insulting me left and right. Would I want to pay for that to continue for them I asked myself.. and the answer is no I dont. if it werent for that I might have sent some money but Ive been discouraged .. but would it have even mattered.. Im in the dark so Im not going to assume anything.. but it would be nice to know exactly whats happening at this point. .

He's saying he dropped the old server provider and went with someone new, probably clanservers.com. What he means is that he took the config for the old server and is going to upload it to the new one. The only thing that should change is the IP address.

Looks up to me. Go to the servers tab on the homepage. the ip might be different, and that's probably why you couldn't find it.

Apparently some ppl haven't read all of this thread...

Squid could no longer pay for his servers so once his current pay cycle ran out, they turned off his servers. He let me know this was going to happen so I had already downloaded squids server (meaning all the files that make his server, including configs) to my local computer. He wasn't sure when the server was going to go away so we just waited. When I got home yesterday I saw the server was gone so I logged into my gameservers.com account and ordered a new server. It took 5 minutes and once it was setup I uploaded squids server from my computer over the new files on the new server so that squids was in tact. We didn't change server providers, the only thing that changed is that now, just like Flems, Squids is on my account. As DonJuan said, the IP address has changed: 8.9.3.234:27015.

Neo, I don't really need an explanation of why you haven't donated. Either someone donates and helps out, or they don't. I do appreciate that you considered giving us a donation, but I can't be responsible for everything every member say. I would suggest if you have a problem with some member that you work it out with them. Either way, if you are going to base your decisions on giving a donation on how each and every member of the clan acts towards you instead of supporting the clan who provides the server(s) you say you enjoy playing on, then most likely we won't be seeing a penny from you in support because lets face it, there are 40 members of TKC, I'm sure you won't get along with every single one of them. I am happy that we are able to once again provide you with Squids server to play on, so enjoy.

I would like to take this time to thank Flynn who donated a nice amount to TKC. There is really no other way to recognize non-clan members who give so this is the best I can do. Thanks man. I only wish you enjoyed L4D2 more so that we could be playing together like with COD4.
