uhhh. Just a stupid remark, he shold have put "never left the country, let alone his state", because what he said doesnt make any sense. If he hasn't left his state, how could he have left his country????

By the way New Guy, very unnecessary reply.

But CrimsonStar, I dont beleive in most of your affirmations, half because i am liberal, and half because I kill conservatives for a living. LOL Im 16 and i dont have a living, except for school and friends.

The comment about being gay is offensive... just bc the persecution they face... isnt it ironic though that conservatives impose their beliefs on others too (a la the aforementioned group of people ;) )... its a two-way street (apologies for the poor pun)

I think he was referring to the likeness that most states in the us share... and that its worth more to see what other countries are like... i could be wrong...

but the best part about living in a country you have virtually no lineage to is you see past the overzealous pride that embodies a self-defined "patriot"

    And it begins.

Pardon me for replying kinda late, been busy, as I am sure you all can imagine.

    Completely unnecessary.

Is it because he posted it or the content that you disagree with? I would venture to say you don't like the content, but that's just a guess.

As for you calling him a 'virgin' like its some bad word, he's a freakin' teenager, why wouldn't he be a virgin? As far as I am aware, it is quite admirable to remain a virgin beyond when your hormones start screaming for some action. I definitely don't see it as a bad word.

I will concede the point that 'virgin' was likely not the proper word to use in that instance.
"The art of conversation: saying the right thing at the right time, but also NOT saying the wrong thing at the tempting-moment." - Obviously, I forgot the latter of that. I would apologize, but it would be a lie since I honestly don't really care about Crimson's feelings. My statements were completely true, I was not trying to use the word "virgin" as an insult, just using the word to further exemplify Crimson's ignorance. I am currently dating a young woman, of whom I am very fond of, that is in fact a virgin herself.

    Allow me a redo:
{EE} The New Guy wrote:Crimson is just a ignorant adolescent who probably has never left his state, let alone the country, and has a very limited perspective on life. Not worth my time.

    Same thing.
And most young men have an epiphany when they do finally have sex, and that is what I was referring to, the enlightenment legitimate-sex* brings. Crimson is proudly lacking it. Not his fault, it will come (lawl @ that pun) after he is like 30 I am sure. But that's enough of that.

(TKC)TheCrimsonStar wrote:If I'm not worth your time as you say I am, why do you even bother posting these things about me? Oh and it's quite humorous how you've resorted to calling me names; I gave that up in 2nd grade :)

It was not worth my time to fully address your initial post and all of its fallacies. I will now do that later in a separate thread as it seems I unintentionally hijacked this one, apologies for that - truly. And the change of heart comes as I pretty much should present what I believe to this community as Crimson was 'brave' enough to do the same. Or I guess he was, I'll explain what I mean after this next thingy.
And 'calling names' implies that the name-caller is making up terms and throwing them childishly and the name-callie (lawl). If I called you a F***tard, douchenozzle, Nipplewart, or even used a name-calling phrase such as "Waste of Semen," THAT would be name calling. I inadvertently insulted you with word 'virgin;' that's insulted, not 'called you names.'
    k? k.

About the being 'brave' I mentioned:

Yeah, okay, except you allowed your post to begin with:
    (TKC)TheCrimsonStar wrote:These are so TRUE.

Showing bias; which is not exactly presenting something to a community to see genuine, competent, and ultimately 'respectful' responses, but is actually more like trolling.
    Then:
    (TKC)TheCrimsonStar wrote:
»mk(stéálthÉnigma) wrote:Im "offended". lolz. Now I shall deal with you. xD

    Apparently New Guy was.... :icon_rolleyes:

    Cute.
So you were NOT expecting people to completely disagree with you?
Doesn't seem you were just "posting and seeing" what was gonna happen, or what looking for what "people would say," but rather you were looking for lulz from a group of people who are of like-mind.
And you seem have been looking for that and that alone. If you can't take the heat, don't step up on the stage kid.

These are all assumptions of course, and we all know the urban-cliche about assuming.

Also, I can now be seen as a huge bully, for he is just a ignorant kid. I am not saying you're stupid Crimson. That would imply that you are incapable of learning this stuff (life), not saying that, just that you have to get a lot more experience. And you ARE an adolescent, that will not end until you have experienced a successful form of coupling. Where you parents are no longer one of the strongest influences in you life/behavior but that becomes the staple-trait of your significant-other. Such is the defining characteristic of adult-hood; it has nothing to do with age. My High-School football coach was legally an adult but was a textbook adolescent well into his thirties. Don't know if he has grown up now, don't care. And I am sure no one here does either, moving on.

Crimson, I will re-thread you initial post after I get done with these two papers in my lap. I then promise to present my opinion and have it be open to criticism or even conjecture in a much more respectful atmosphere.

Also Crimson; get used to defending your position, and being forced to do so, else you will forever remain a sheep.

jeez didn't you read what i said? it was an e-mail. meaning i copied and pasted the entire thing into the post. that "these are so true" thing is part of the email.

As for the virgin thing, yes that is considered name calling in today's teenage society as well as an insult. Apparently if you haven't got laid by the time you enter high school, you're considered lame and people taunt you by calling you a virgin and laugh and point (sounds like 2nd grade name calling to me). But apparently you wouldn't know that because you graduated long ago and are now out of the inner circle we call "high schoolers."

Oh and you've made this thread the highlight of my week. VERY entertaining. I enjoy these conversations. ;)

The problem is, addressing this to new guy, is you write authoritatively - and since you arent much older (meaning you arent an authority on this subject), and youre not omniscient (through no fault of your own - no body is), what you write can come off as pretentious.

and lets be honest... it was a joke... no reason to deduce anything... fallacies are apart of jokes.

And dont get me wrong, im just as contentious as you are, but I dont recognize this as the proper "stage" -- although im all willing to hear this debate, and what you have to say

(TKC)TheCrimsonStar wrote: And yes I am a virgin, I'm only 16 what do you expect? At least I'm not in the majority of teenagers these days who are active and have STD's and have to deal with broken relationships and heartbreak and crap like that. I find myself fortunate, because I have many friends who are active and their lives are crap right now.

I graduated in 2005, and lost my virginity shortly after, and had a rash of bad decisions after it. It was a part of my life where I made many mistakes. I was not as big as I am now in high school either, and I was taunted as well. Just stand fast.

However, I cherish my mistakes (no, not in a dirty way, stop thinking like that) for without them I would be so very dull and ignorant as you are. "Nothing ventured, nothing Gained" - You won't learn and therefore won't enjoy life without going on faith and taking a few risks.

Jeez, having to spell all this stuff out to him is turning me into an idiot.
Great, I am being made into an idiot and soon will be beaten by Crimson's experience, and I know it. Ugh.
Looks like I should have followed MY OWN advice.

Meh, not REAL enlightenment, but you understand the little bit of 'truth' in the words of that coke-addict Sigmund Freud. And you ...well, you have a frick'n epiphany, like I said. Don't make me go into it and open up and share my feelings, gotta date me first.

Watching liberals argue amongst themselves is like watching grass grow. As the german kid said, "I grow weary of this thread".

My parting shot would be this.. the original post has some truth behind it. It highlights the most base philosophical differences between a conservative and a liberal which is, liberals believe the government is there to take care of them, and a conservative believes people should take care of themselves. A liberal wants a big government with many programs, a conservative wants limited government. That's pretty much what it gets down to.

    I choose freedom.
