Thinking about getting this hard drive

It's basically a hard drive with a 6 gb (i think) ssd inside it that's used for cache. The thing's faster than a velociraptor in everyday situations [utube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuWdruZev8I[/utube]

the price is cheap at $130

Should i get it? i think it'd be a nice upgrade for me, anyone own it or have opinions?

so does the SDD part of it act like cache?

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

yep, it has adaptive memory tech. which basically is how cache works. Just checks which files are constantly read/write and puts them on the ssd

Did you pursue warranty service and did Seagate replace them? I've had both WD and Seagate but I've never had any issues with each. Currently have WD in my PC.

You using that as you primary harddrive? or just a media drive?

Not that its a big deal but if its your primary, can you let me know what the windows index is (if you have windows 7) My computer should be up to a 7.8 or so but since i have a mechanical hdd is maxed out at 5.9
