Re: Looking for NEW wireless Mouse and Keyboard

I have a friend who have the fastest internet connection that comcast offers for residential areas, and no matter what router he had by belkin (G, G+, N, N+) whenever someone would even OPEN a browser, his in-game ping would spike up to like 400, or if he had a download going it would just stop. Then he bought a Linksys G+ router, and now his ping doesn't even go up when someone else on the network is downloading.

I myself have a Belkin G Wireless router, because it was all I had money for at the time and my parents wouldn't buy a router. Any time my mom gets on the internet on my laptop (It's hardwired to the router on the desk next to mine) my ping ALWAYS spikes to around 240-360, sometimes up to 600 ms. When she looks at google maps I get kicked from the server every time cuz it spikes up to like 950. lol

I probably should rephrase my statement "Belkin = Crap" and change it to "Belkin routers = Crap." They're the cheapest available for a reason. :icon_duh:

actually, that looks pretty cool. Use that instead of the keyboard. Very nice.

Looks like someone chopped off half a keyboard and glued it to a mouse.

I sayits a waste of $$$!!! Its about $60-80 and essentially gives you 1/4 of a keyboard / part mouse

If your paying that much, you might aswell just pay the extra $10-20 and get the G15 keyboard, or a little more to get the wireless G series.

Ive had a bad experience with linksys, even tho they're from cisco. Cisco makes awesome products except linksys just sucks, because it isnt authentic cicso parts/programing, because cisco just bought the company and continued to let them run...i think... ,they hate me, I hate them, so ... D-Link is the way to go :icon_cool:
PS. I was getting 5 ping on flems all the way from Canada :P , Cuz no one was on my internet and i was using a good wireless card. (No, I wasn't using a ping mask or anything.)
Sorry for hi-jacking your thread..lol..yea, slevin is right.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

Re: Looking for NEW wireless Mouse and Keyboard

I just use a logitech M215 wireless for my mouse and if I have lag it isn't noticeable.
I'm using a laptop so keyboard doesn't matter.

and We use a Cisco N+ for our internet and we run 5 computers on it and still get extremely high speeds. So I like them..
And from my experiences Belkin is a pain...but that's just me and Matt...
