You have until March 2nd.. that's when the game comes out. :)

I would have no problem getting any one game if the majority of the clan was going to have it to, I have bin looking for a new game to start playing and if a lot of you get it count me in.

I think the clan NEEDS this game to be good. We need to start moving over to something new. I'm convinced it would be good for the clan.

Why a 1000W PSU? From what I've been reading the x1200 doesn't even perform as good as a 8600GT so you might not even get playable FPS on BF:BC2.

Is there a possibility of get a few other Next Gen Games Servers for upcoming games. We can start gettings rid of old servers and start saving up money towards new games.

I.E. Left 4 Dead server can go, its only a 4 players co-op server :icon_arrow: No 4 on 4 Man Vs Infected which everyone plays most.
Possible drop one of the HLDM servers now

    Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2

The L4D server has been dropped. We are considering getting rid of Squids server but I'm not ready to do it just yet.

Right now the only game we are looking to get a new server for is BC2. If any other games come up that look like they might be good then we will look into that however what we can't do is buy several new servers for different games, all at the same time. We need to build a game and server one at a time otherwise it would be hard to popularize any because you have 2 TKC over here playing BC2, 3 playing Game B, 1 playing Game C.. and instead of having 6 clan members playing on 1 BC2 server, you got a bunch of servers that are mostly not filled.

We will try to have a day 1 BC2 server so we can hopefully get a following early that will help us popularize that server.

Oh and that being said.. it would be really helpful if there were as many TKC'ers as possible who could pick up the game the day it comes out. The more of us on the server that first day, the more non-TKC people we will attract and who will bookmark our server because it was the first they joined and enjoyed playing on.

Your 58" TV as a monitor will only give you a max of 1080p (1920x1080) Resolution Correct?
Your 8800 graphics card should be good to most new games at that resolution.
How do you have it set up? A DVI-To-HDMI converter from your graphics card to your TV?
I know new HD5000 series ATI cards have built in HDMI ports and I believe the new Nvidia GT300 series will too (which are releasing Jan/Feb 2010), not sure if any older models had HDMI.

    That being said:
ATI HD 5870 or higher graphics cards are really meant for gaming enthusiasts with dual monitors or 30" Gaming PC Monitors for resolutions of 2560x1920 or greater.

I will purchase it as soon as it comes out. Install it, see how it runs to make sure if i will need to do any required upgrades. It looks like many will get it, that's good!

DVI to HDMI correct. May be i will get a Sli motherboard and another 8800 GT. To increase Frames Per Second with High Res. The game looks demanding, but that's after i try it out first, maybe i won't need to.

Oh because I know that you only need a 450W PSU for the 5770, but I guess that would leave you room for running crossfire later on. I'm almost positive you won't be able to play BC2 with that x1200, but definitely with the 5770. Sorry to stray from the subject.

I'll be getting it the day it comes out. I hope to make it to Gamestop this weekend to reserve a copy. I just need to get my new GPU and I'll be set.

Yeah I'll probably pre-order a little closer to release. My last pre-order (MW2) was a waste of time.

Are there video cards out there good enough for a PCI express slot from 3 and 1/2 years ago. I just simply don't know enough about computers to know what to get or if my computer can even handle the newer technology. I also need to get new ram but that is easy. I definitely can not afford a new computer strong enough for a game like Battlefield Bad Company 2 right now but I would not mind upgrading if it meant that I could play this game as well as StarCraft 2. If I am out of luck with this computer then I will probably have to wait a bit closer to the StarCraft 2 release, which nobody knows for sure when that will be.

You must have the old PCIe 1.0 slot. I have the same thing for my HD2900XT. You can get a new Graphics Card that supports PCIe 2.0, but putting it in the 1.0 slot will just slow it down (but it still works)
Think of it as 2.0 gives twice the bandwidth of 1.0, 1.0 and 2.0 are the same size and all cards work with either.
But in order to get the highest bandwidth possible you need a 2.0 video card with a 2.0 slot.
So performance wont be at its max potential with older motherboards. So you can go upgrade your grpahics card to a new 2.0 version and it should still work with your old 1.0 version motherboard.

Well any computer you build that can run BC2 will be able to run SC2 I promise you.. so why wait? ;)
