Thank you, due to the time of day and back account limitations, I have to wait until tomorrow to order some parts

But the nice part is I swapped the GFX for another 390 from XFX, which saves me about $50, plus I don't need to special DVI to DisplayPort cables, another $20.

Only difference is ~25MHz clock speed, which can be achieved with some slighty OC...if I need it.

Ok so case was delivered yesterday and mobo and ram delivered today. I had my wife help me with the cable management in the case.

But I decided to snap a few pictures of my progress.

PS. Anyone ever have trouble getting standoffs screwed in? I could only get one in by hand, had to use a screwdriver to get the others screwed in.

I had some pretty cool little things happen

1) The knockout backplate that came with my mobo is white, matches the case
2) My RAM has heatspreaders that are literaly only a slight shade different than the mobo, pretty much matches.

Rest of the parts be here Wed, i'll post pics when complete, probably to my PBucket account...

Re-checked my FedEx tracking number, shipment is day ahead of schedule, should be here tomorrow. BUT, the next 2 days are quite busy for me. I might not get to build it until late Wed or Thurs.

It is finished!

There were a few things though to mention

1) My 200GB hdd is dying, though it is like over 10yrs old...
2) Took me forever to find out why my AMD drivers keep crashing, i needed to update to SP1 >.<
3) My monitor were extremely PITA. Took me like 45min just to get the displays to swap around (and yes, i did swap cables, too)

Anyways, here's the end result...including a pic of my very dirty hdds and old case.

You need to go SSD. Mechanical hard drives are a thing of the past, at least as the system drive, use just for storage.

I use SSD's for OS, games.. everything. Just download crap to a mechanical hard drive.

Actually my games are stored on hdds, from previous build. When I get another SSD for RAID 0, I will move them onto SSD. BF3 and BF4 are like 24GB and 60GB respectively.
