So, I finally broke down and spent some money to upgrade my aging system, it has done me well, but the old Intel Q6700 quadcore 2.6 just isn't cutting it anymore..

I bought the I7 3770K, ASUS Sabertooth X77 Mother board, EVGA GTX670 FTW graphics card.. I decided to keep any other parts (HDDs, DVD, CD drives from my old computer since no significant improvements that I know of have happened in the last few years. I'm thinking this should tide me over for a couple years, since I do plan on buying another GTX670 FTW as well

I still need to get an SSD drive but that will be later

I am in the market for a new tower, and power supply and I really don't know what I want, I know I want one that has a lot of space to work in and I want to make sure I have enough power that I don't burn something out.. so If anyone has any Ideas, or has a case they are using that they really love I'd like to hear from you.

for a power supply i would go with a Corsair 750Watt, it should give you plenty of wiggle room and these PSU's are high quality and LAST! its always a good idea to plan out what ever wattage you plan on using and doubling it, better to run a car at half throttle for hours at a time then wide open. for a case i am partial to corsair Obsidian series, plenty of room and all metal construction.

i say most full size cases are generally equal as long as u choose the better manufacturers. it all comes down to personal choice. Ive had an old Antec that i loved (chieftain ithink), but thats cuz i customized it myself. i now have the haf x and its all good no issues yet. tons of room too. i have the 212 hyper and theres room to spare. just make sure you check ur mobo configuration if using the big cpu coolers. some have very tight ram clearance issues with 212s and the like. i have the 660ti and its fine right now so im hoping ill be good for bf4 too. otherwise was gonna get another for sli but too much heat. prob go to 770 if this one isnt good enuf.

I went with the Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced.. So far I like it. Other than a major OS crash which I had to buy a new HDD and OS to get going, the build went well.. everything seems to be running smoothly.. Will have to do some baseline benchmarks before I start OC'ing ..
