    Computer problem.

So yea this is weird 2 nights ago my screen fizzled with a bunch of colors then my computer restarts itself so now on start up I get to the welcome screen but then my asus monitor goes black and says no HDMI connection, so I tried switching to a DVI cord and it says no DVI connection I've also tried re installing fresh drivers for my GPU and that didn't work so I think my core GPU stuff may be corrupted anyone know what the problem could be? Also it works fine in safe mode.

Sounds like your GPU has crapped out. Have you tried taking it out and running your monitor through your mobo?

Fan working ? Dust buildup ?

My video card will build up dust at the base of the card at the PCI e slot and if I don't catch it in time and clean it, that happens... sometimes damaged, sometimes not.

If the fan does go out or gets low rpm, you should get a warning... but if not low rpm and gradual overheat makes wired things happen.

Think I had a power supply cause this as well, in its first stages of failure...

If I remember right, Safe mode uses plain Microsoft vanilla driver, and therefore none of the higher capabilities of the gpu (memory, 3d, etc...), which could explain it still booting Up in safe with a damaged card...

Its not dust and I really hope its not my power supply I can't afford replacing all my pc parts :/ I do plan on getting a gtx 760 soon though so thats the bright side, I should have no problem with battlefield 4 now lol :PP .

Also the fan seems fine I don't think over heating is the problem there is no warning when it restarts, and my gpu always stayed around 40-60c while gaming sometimes 70 after playing for a long time, and about the mobo connection I don't see a way to connect the two.

Too bad on the mobo connection, could help T/S ... oh well, some just don't come with them.

You could possibly underclock as well, I have been able to do that to get a damaged (dust in my scenario) to limp along until I figured out and purchase what I wanted.

Also, when your purchasing your new card, you might consider SLi or Crossfire... Anytime I 'currently' have problems, I can just remove a card, and test it versus the other for issues. If I find one card bad, at least I'm not down. Ever since I went to SLI some 5 years ago, it's been easier to sleep at night :0

take a really hot blow dryer to it, it might help melt some of the connections back together.. I would say put it in the oven, but nowadays, too much plastic shit will melt.. the old days, in the oven for 5 minutes at 400 degrees just like a brand new MOBO
