This is prob what im looking to get parts wise.

i5 3570k - i dont need an i7 its pretty much on gonna be used for straight up gaming and the i7 doesnt add much in that area

msi z77 gd65 gaming mobo. i like the looks and im a fan of dragons

msi 770gtx gaming video card - im a sucker for dragons and the 770s are all about equal currently

8gb either corsair low pro in black or gskill in red - to stay in color theme. and again dont need 16gb

1tb main REG hard drive. i dont care if it take a cpl more secs to boot i dont need an ssd
prob a 2tb storage unit later for fraps

h60 cpu cooler - the case i have is a hand me down and im not sure i want to modify for a 2fan radiator so im going with a h60 single fan rad.

carsair hx750 gold

24" monitor - not sure which one

mouse/keyboard suggestions? id rather not pay more than $50-60 apiece thanks.
maybe the cooler master cm storm recon mouse
and maybe the arctosa keyboard ( i had ithis keybaord b4 and wasnt bad)

I'm sure it's a fine build, but I stopped when you didn't have ASUS on your list. It's the only mobo I get nowadays and anything else is 2nd class in my opinion.

i couldnt afford that mobo if i tried lol. this list was put together pretty much at max budget. and it will still take me till prob oct to have the money saved up. unless some of these parts drop in price bigtime.

I figured as much.. I just didn't check the prices. The good news is, I've heard that BF4 will run better than even BF3 on any system that runs BF3 because the Frostbite engine is more optimized this time around. Hope that's true because I don't see being able to upgrade my system any time soon.

TigerDirect has the ROG board for $293 but that's still $93 more than the MSI board.

yeah this build is alotbetter than my old one and that ran bf3 pretty good

hilariously im looking into buying a system from someone that has pretty much everything i want for a really good price and it has a maximus v formula board.

12gb ram ( he has 2x2 and 2x4 mixed speed sets gonna pull the 2x2s out)
1tb wd black
evga 660ti
haf x case
antec 750w hcg psu
logitech g110
crappy $2 mouse (will get a new one)
asus 23" monitor

plus his old setup
msi p55 mobo
i5 750 cpu
19" monitor

all for $850

so im gonna try and sell the old setup for like $100 for mobo/cpu monitor and the 2x2 ram and i might sell the 660to and get a 770 not sure.
