    How big is too big?

No you nasties, not like that. I mean monitor size, I recently got a new desk, with a TON of monitor headway (Flat top desk so no fitting the monitor between shelves) and I am thinking of getting a 16:9 style monitor to replace my 22" 16:10. I'm just wondering cause all I know about monitors is to go for good picture quality in reviews, Plasma>LED>LCD>CRT(Dear god do they still sell those?!) and go for <1ms response time, but as for size and "Features" I have no sweet clue, and Idk how big a monitor should and should not be, so I come to you guys and ask, what's a PERFECT monitor size?

LED is a type of lighting, not a screen type: you could get a LED back lit LCD screen or you could get a standard back lit LCD screen (which uses fluorescent tubes, like small versions of the 40 inch long by 1 inch radius tube lights). LED saves a ton of money on energy (~50% at least). LED could be the lighting used for other types of screens too but it's not a screen type.

I find that its harder to play on a TV. Bigger screens doesn't always make it better. I think that 24-27"(1080p or 1920x1200) and 30" (2500x1600) is perfect.

You won't notice the difference between 8 ms and 1 ms response time. 1 ms is a lot more expensive and you can find 2 ms on most good monitors. In the past year, I've gotten 2 viewsonic monitors. They rock. No dead pixels and they're LED. One was 22" and one 24" both full 1080p and I enjoy gaming on them.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

I was told that response time did matter >.> Guess not..? As for the whole LED thing, I know it's not a screen type, but they advertise it in a different category all together.

Nice, but the cost of triple monitor does not weigh in with it's usefulness.

i agree, i wouldnt plan on getting a setup like that unless i come into some money(unlikely) but i would love having a 46 or 50 inch monitor. right now my 32inch bedroom tv is doubleing as my computer monitor, i'm hopeing to buy a dedicated monitor/tv for my computer when incometax season rolls around.

I still say that's waaaaay too big triple monitor IS amazing for panoramic and having peripherals but I can't imagine using it for much else unless you're a graphic designer or some such. I barely see the use in Dual monitor when every game has a "Friends and webbrowser" thing attached to Shit+Tab

right, the main reason is they use waaay less energy (so they can justify separate categories), the other difference is the brightness and response to light changes (led is quicker and normally has better light contrast)
