You wont be disappointed with the 2600k! I sure love it and the fact it handles anything Ive thrown at it without a hiccup.

There is nothing to be happy about that this is currently a flop. Maybe driver updates will help it, I don't know, but this is not a happy time for any computer consumer. There's no CPU race at the moment. You have one that's walking, and the other one that's coughing at a halt. Intel's going to do and delay whatever they want for as long as there is no processing competition. Prices will remain high, and not all people will be able to buy. It's just like life insurance companies monopolizing on the market, like BC+BS.

    Re: IT HAS ARRIVED!!!

i'm seeing rumors that ivy bridge is being delayed to summer of next year.

it seems that optimization needs to be done in order to take advantage of bulldozers architecture. each module only has about 1.5 cores. each module is sharing resources so its not a true 8 core, i wish they would of marketed this thing as a 4-module and say nothing about cores. someone found that if you take the 8150 and disable 1 core in each module, performance is higher then if you were to disable 2 whole modules.

Same. I love my 2500k :). So glad i decided to get my 2500k months ago rather than waiting for Bulldozer.

Here is a comparison between the 2500k and the 8150

    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/288?vs=434

Well, it beats intel's at some points, and it does have a lot more memory than the intel, so I dont think it is that bad, really

    Agreed foff.

But guys seriously, don't waste your $$$ on chips and hardware far beyond usability.

Fair enough if you want to do 3D design/multi-core intensive stuff but, speaking from a gaming clan perspective. 12 threads is overkill.

We've only just made it to full utilisation of dual-core processors in gaming!

Remember clockspeed beats numbers of cores any day... Except for bragging rights :P

I agree. Why build a computer that will be great in 1, 2 or even 3 years when you are sacrificing your gaming experience today? And to pay a hefty price at that.. seems silly.

seesh this is painful, Ive been running AMD since i started in the pc world and ran nothing else. i prefer to support the little guy over the giant who likes to pay off company's so they only sell there products. even though this chip is a turd, i still want it. seeing all the different things you can do to them looks like fun. i'm going to give it another month and see what happens, then buy the rest of my parts.

I removed the Hitler video for the inappropriate crap near the end of the video. We need to be more sensitive than that.
