Those results dont bode well for AMD. Seems like the 1100 Thuban series will outperform the new 8150 in just about everything......

Taking it with a grain of salt for now until the chip is released and there is hard evidence.

After reading that and some of the comments, it looks like they may have mixed up the results.

Yeah I read that also, seems like some of the graphs are mixed up and some arent. Its hard to tell what is right and whats not. Thats why Im waiting for the chip to be released before passing my own judgement. I hope it rocks Intel just due to the fact that its the FX series. Its supposed to be their bad boy chip!!

well reviews are out and it still does not look good, it has great multi-threaded performance which is great! that's were programs are heading now a days, but single threaded performance is crappy. its worse then the previous generation. overall its a etreme letdown but i believe this was a giant step for AMD, if you look into the actual architecture its designed like a more advanced version of hyper threading, each module contains 1.5 cores because they share the same FPU. so the way AMD should of marketed this cpu was as a 4-core, 8-thread cpu. i might still get since i really dont want to support intel. then again that 2600k looks really nice now.. :icon_waterworks: :icon_singletear: :icon_lookdown:

It's not that, as far as I've seen it's like two sides of the same thing, it's why I go intel chips with AMD graphics, amd renders things nicer imo (Play a game with a AMD card, and an Nvidia card side to side and you'll see what I mean they LOOK totally different) It just caters more to what I want to do. There's no good or bad, there's only results.

Im all for AMD but I gotta tell ya at the time I upgraded Intel just appealed to me more. I wasnt going to wait 8 months for a chip to be released and Im glad I didnt wait when I did upgrade. If AMD stuck to their FX heritage I would sell my Intel system and go back to AMD. It is nice to see them with their own version of hyper threading now!

The 1090T outperforms the highest end current gen bulldozer chip in overclocking value and in single threaded apps... if you already have all of your parts waiting for it, it won't be a terrible investment, but remember there's nothing to upgrade to... I really wish they would have blown the 2600 and 2700K out of the water, but now that intel doesn't have a sand kicking competitor at the moment, Intel is gonna slow down and we won't get IvyBridge or Haswell any time soon. They will just hold out on current gen and wait to get more money. It is a sad day in the computing world.

Yeah there are a lot of benchmarks and crap out there now. Bulldozer is a let down apparently.
