this motherboard also lets me do ssd caching to a HDD, so my old agility 2 and 1TB HDD will be paired. i'll have those results up shortly

What all is needed for the SSD caching? My mobo came with Intel Rapid Storage Technology and from what I've taken in from reading thats whats needed for it.

the intel rapid storage tech is for software level raid, SSD cache needs a different program, that program came with my asus AI suite 2. if its not apart of your motherboard utility OCZ and Crucial both offer SSD's that include the software.

i ran another benchmark, PCMARK Vantage everything is still stock and i'm still only using 16gb of ram.

PCMARK score: 21125
http://3dmark.com/pcmv/483427

also 3dmark06 cpu score was : 8099
better then my phenom 2 945 which only got got 4026. so with that jump i doubled my cpu power.

soo in my attempt to get all my memory working today i accidentally hit something in the bios that auto overclocked my cpu. soooo now i'm sitting at 4.3Ghz, all the memory is now working and my memory latency is back down to were it should be.

ran into a big problem last night, shut it down to put my other HD4870 in, just to realize that asus did not include a extended crossfire cable..... anyway when i went to turn it on, it would not let me into windows, could not even get it into safe mode it just locked up. i undid the overclock, removed most of the ram and it still would not let me in, it would simply freeze. so i spent most of last night re-installing windows. i have to get my fog server running so i can get a image in-case this happens again.

I think I may have an extra crossfire cable if you need it.

grabbed a single 7970 today. BF3 with everything turned up as high as it will go on 1920x1080 averaging about 45FPS. not bad considering i was getting the same frame rate on low settings with a single 4870.
going to add a second one after i get my new jeep as well as the third screen.
