A friend of mine has back when I used to console game, he says it is EXCELLENT because it cuts down outside source glare and the tint allows for accurate depictions when lighting is an issue (i.e. bloom gone awry) he also said they're not worth going out and shelling JUST for glasses, but if your looking to get new glasses, and don't particularly CARE about where they come from that Gunnars are worth it.

I get really bad dry eye sometimes and I can't tell if its related to gaming. I will wake up at night and my eye will sting so bad I wish I was dead.. hard to get rid of it too. Usually ends up hurting for about half the day. I think I will try these out when I get my next pair of glasses since you can get them with prescription.

That can be related to staring at a monitor too long yes especially if its a crt and not an LCD, though I've never heard someone with that bad of a condition, have you tried using those solutions? Like Clear eyes and Visine and stuff like that? Maybe you don't release enough liquid on your eyes to keep them hydrated naturally... it could be so many things.

the idea of it i think is cool. 55in+ screen w/o having to have a 55in+ screen. would not mind trying a pair out. looks like it's time to start Googleing around about em. i've came across some that look like a pair of shades

I had a pair of the gunnars until a few weeks ago when my wifes dog got a hold of them. They are nice, my eyes didn't strain as much with them and i didn't get a headache after long periods of gaming but now. . . . My head hurts and my eyes do aswell so I'm getting a new pair ASAP! it's a bonus you can get them with prescription.

Now, I barely get eyestrain and headaches.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.
