Yeah but you're going to need to get a GOOD quadcore. My 955 Black Edition maxes out with BC2 on max settings which makes it hard to run FRAPS. Even then, maxing out on BC2 means it's going to be a bottleneck for BF3. Hence why I'm planning on getting a new mobo and an i5-2500k after I buy a car.

Maxes out? What are you talking about? Well yea, it isnt idling, but it runs at 60-80% while in game.. At least mine does it, but I see your point. Fraps is a little tweaky if you want to record full res. Then you have to run fraps on one core, and the game on the other two, or you could set the game to run on 2 cores, and fraps on the other 2. That works well too, with about 60 FPS.

I mean it maxes out! haha. I also had all the settings that you couldn't see ingame (had to tweak them with the launcher) turned up, I had my FOV higher than normal, and some other stuff. I would only max out on the big maps with a full server. Anything like SQDM I would run ~75%

    Re: Radeon 6750 vs BF3?

I'm playing at 1440 x 900. I'm planning on overclocking this card heavily, just like I did with my 6870. Had that thing at 970 core/1175 mem on stock volts, and stock clocks were 900 core/1050 mem. After I OC'd it I had a ~10-15fps gain from stock clocks. And yes, I love my 6970 :D I'm running an average of 13 fps higher than my 6870, and I plan on crossfiring this 6970 before the game releases.

    Awesome :D

The 470 will probably work just fine (I'm taking a guess on this, haven't seen the benches in a while), but that and the 480 run HOT. You can get a GTX 560 for around the same price and it will actually run a tad better, and they don't have the massive heat issues.

Hmmm, the thing is, I'm in Europe, which means everything is about a 100$ more expensive then in the US. -.-'
Anyway I'm leaning towards a gtx 570 (I will get a aftermarket cooler for it) and I will overclock it as much as possible :)

As for my fps, when I said never drop below 45, I don't mean it hangs around there. I've had it drop to 45 once on the first part of Operation Metro. Down in the subway, I'm always running at 60-100fps. Now on Caspian Border (got into one of the locked EA servers when they were up) with my 6870 overclocked, I would have regular dips down to 25fps and sometimes lower, with my average fps at ~35. I can't imagine how hard on GPU's that will be on Ultra.

We'll good for you :D Outside mine (on 1680x1050) is about 35-40 while inside it's always 60+, if you take into consideration that I have a shitty 5770 that is amazing :D But I guess I'm getting that fps because my cpu is a 920 @ 4ghz :/ idk I think the fps would be around 20 if it wasn't oc-ed at all LOL xD .

Well in reality, 6870 = 5770, and 6970 > 5870, so that doesn't surprise me that you got around my framerate while I had the 6870.

    Awesome, I oc-ed mine from 860, 1200 to 950, 1405 (stock V) :D And now I'm getting about 15 fps more :)

The 470 will probably work just fine (I'm taking a guess on this, haven't seen the benches in a while), but that and the 480 run HOT. You can get a GTX 560 for around the same price and it will actually run a tad better, and they don't have the massive heat issues.

Yeah, I saw the benches for both of those cards :/ But one thing came out of that, I'm thinking of buying the gtx 570 :D It's a beast so I guess I won't have any issues playing on it :)

As for my fps, when I said never drop below 45, I don't mean it hangs around there. I've had it drop to 45 once on the first part of Operation Metro. Yeah I figured, it IS a 6970 so I didn't assume it drops below 45 at any moment in the game :) Anyway, Caspian Border is a BITCH. My friend has 2 gtx 570's and it was running around 35-60+ (it was really dodgy, one moment its 45 and nothing is happening, while when stuff's breaking and shit it's around 55-60 :S ) for him, while on Metro he gets well over that figure. Idk, maybe it's just the beta, they'll probably optimize the maps so that they don't destroy the gpu's :P
