So if everyone remembers correctly i recently grabbed 8 gbs of ram to replace my old 4gbs. Now the new ram is supposed to be 7-7-7-21 and the old stuff was 9-9-9-24. so my new stuff defaulted to 9-9-9-24 and i have yet to reclock it to 7-7-7-21. But heres my question. Would i get better performance clocking the 8gbs to 7's or from 12 gbs at 9's? And yes they're compatible cuz i actually have all 12 in right now and its reading it.

same frequency you will get better performance out of 7-7-7-21. tho higher the frequency the better aslong as the timing are not wacked out.

you will be better performance at lower CAS speeds with 8 gigs of ram verses 12 gig's of higher CAS speeds. unless you use all 8 gigs of ram and you need more space.
