What cooler do you use?

I'm curious to know what you guys cool your CPU's with and even GPU's if you're using non-reference cooling. Temps and pics are a bonus. :icon_mrgreen:

Here's a pic of my Scythe Mugen 2 in my case

How about yours?

CPU cooling
Swiftech Apogee XT Extreme Waterblock

CPU Idle temps are 28* C
CPU Load temps are 72*C

GPU cooling
HeatKiller GPU-X Full Copper blocks

H20 Cooled GTX570 Idle is 32* C and load is 47*C
Twin Frozr II GTX570 idle is 31* C and load is 68*C
Twin Frozr GTS250 isle is 36*C and load is 72*C (used as dedicated physX)

I have since pushed these cards to 1.1v, coreclock of 945MHz, shader clock of 1890MHz, and a mem clock of 2300 MHz.

I am going to be adding a waterblock to my second 570 as well as adding another 360mm rad in the mix. One rad will cool CPU the other rad will cool the GPUs. Mind you my temps are me being overclocked also. Not stock. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1873374

72C on load?! Dude...that's NOT good. I get better performance from a $30 CM air cooler....lol. I'll post pics later tonight after I'm off work.

Crim, I'm overclocked not at stock clocks.... I said that in the first post. You push 1.52v through your CPU and see what your temps are :P ;)

I use a Zalman CNPS 9900. Ill post pics in a bit. And plum, doesn't going above 1.5V drastically reduce the lifespan of your CPU even if it is stable?

Probably. . . . but plum is crazy! :icon_mrgreen:

Not the new Sandy's! As long as the temps are good the chip is fine upwards of 1.55-1.58v. Each chip is different though. I can obtain a stable 4.5GHz at stock volts with my chip but 4.7 requires 1.4v to game and 1.36v to benchmark.

Nice water setup! Do you really need a 1200W PSU for that rig though?

Well tri SLI is in the near future for me, plus im a firm believer in by one PSU and never worry again when it comes to upgrading down the line. Ill also be adding more HDDs and what not into it. Fans for the rads, it all adds up over time.

that is the fans me and plum use which are around 7-8 watts under normal load and overloaded can get around 20 using the actually fan controller for them. The Temps are in fact good because his case is not an air cooling case it is designed for liquid cooling mainly and the fact of the liquid loop is including a gpu and not drawing air threw but pushing causes less cooling and also he is using 3 gpu versus 1 tells you that with those temps he is actually doing decent but not the best. 1200 watt psu is one of the best ways to go if you plan on expansions which he is doing.

Makes sense to me. Three 570's would use quite a bit of power. Have either of you tried the Gentle Typhoon fans? I'm thinking about getting a couple 1850's for my heatsink. Right now I have a couple of Slipstream 1400's on it, and I'm not quite satisfied with the temps. They're not bad for a stock Phenom II X4, but I would like some more headroom for overclocking.

Temps idle and load after 20 minutes of Prime95

The GTs are nice but I dont care about how loud the Kaze Scythes get! Its the amount of air they can move at a higher static pressure that I want for the rads I am going to use.

I cleaned out all of the dust from the last couple of months, repositioned the CPU fans, and tied up all of my cables. Temps are much better now. :icon_mrgreen:
