This is my loot from Micro Center today:

We bought (15) if the I-Inc monitors for upgrading/replacing our old CRT's we had spread about the offices here at work. 1-1/2 years later, none of them are still in operation.

Contrast -
I bought a good 24" Dell fatscreeen monitor 4 yearsa ago and its still in use.
I have a Viewsonic a bought 5 years ago and its still in use.
I have one of these Samsung FX2490HD, still in the box, and I can't bring myself to retire the Dell noted above. (Another Experiment ....my Samsung big screen based on teh same technology is awesome....this one didn't get good reviews.....but I'm going to try it anyway.)

Anyway - I would be wary of I-Inc.....I know my company will never buy another one.

The other stuff looks good though.

I have a 15" LCD from 2000, and only has 1 dead pixel and I use it daily. My dad even has some CRT monitors that he gave to someone that were bought in like 1990 and they still work exceptionally.

Thanks Biker. Were they the 28"? The 28" from last year was really well reviewed. I will just get a Squaretrade 3 year warranty with it. I reall want a 28" and the 1920x1200 resolution and there is nothing close for the money. I have had really bad luck with Westinghouse and great luck with Asus monitors.

Thanks! I got the PSU, mobo, and CPU for $420...so not a bad deal either.

for monitors i have had viewsonic, but hanns-g and acer, asus are also great companies for monitors

bought a 22inch asus LED monitor.. was amazing quality

also not really sure if 1920 x 1200 is good quality all the monitors i ever get are 1920 X 1080 <- 1080 dpi HD

1920x1200 is a PC resolution, usually the highest, unless you get into spending a ton of cash. It can still do 1080, it is capable of more than 1080. Here are the reviews on the last version of the I-Inc 28" monitor:

it adds an extra 120 pixels height wise. Its very nice to have.

The point of 1920x1200 is that before HD widescreen was invented, monitors were nearly as tall as wide, and provided a very uniform, efficient real estate for applications that take up such. When it got squashed, some people were thrown off, and widescreen doesn't work perfectly with some versions of business and other software, especially those under a geometric field. Nothing's more disheartening than doing an 80min AutoCAD project and find that your circular sheet metal was just cut wrong. (And it wasn't your fault, it was the monitors >.<) 1200 fixed this issue, and is just a great feature to have anyway, giving you more space to look at that pretty LCD of yours. :PP
