I dont know much about the 6870 but everything else looks good. I would get a WD over the Samsung drive. That particular drive doesnt get great reviews. This drive is only 32mb cache and sata 3gb. The WD I linked is 64mb cache and sata 6gb which your new mobo will have. It will be a faster drive over the Samsung. Its a little more expensive but the price is worth it IMO.

Nice CPU. I lvoe Intels and it will work better than AMD even though its pricey. That one will work great on BF3. My i5 first-gen handles it at 66% load on Alpha so yours should have no issue. Great GPU and I agree on the HDD

That is a 5400 rpm drive not a standard 7200 rpm drive. Its a power saving hdd. The Caviar Green series are 5400 RPM drives.

Caviar Blue's are the middle range western digital hard drive. Caviar Blacks give the best performance, and use the most power. Caviar Greens use the least power, and they give the least performance.

I would recommend getting any Western Digital Caviar Black hard drive, i use a 1TB model. The capacity is up to you. There also isnt really a significant price difference between greens, blues, and blacks.

Yes, that one's good. Basically the same one I have, except I have 500GB.

If you ever plan to crossfire though, I'd get a more powerful PSU. If not, then don't bother reading the rest of this paragraph :icon_angel: I found I pull 550 Watts running with my cpu and gpu at 100% with both overclocked. So IF you x-fire, go with at least 750W. I'm going to get that Corsair 750W if I crossfire. I can run the BF3 alpha at max settings with 50-100 fps right now, but that will probably change once full DX11 optimization kicks in with the full release. Also, another reason you would need a better PSU if you x-fire, is that PSU only comes with two 6+2 pin PCIe connectors. The 6870's take two 6-pin PCIe connectors each, and I personally wouldn't use molex to PCIe connectors if I needed extra ones, hence the 750W PSU I'm getting.

Just get the one you linked then.

I have no idea about that PSU...never heard of the brand and they don't even sell it on Newegg...which is where I check reviews to tell if the part is good quality or not.
