    Well... No matter what happens, I am normally killed more times than I kill other people. So I live with it and try and get better so I don't die as much. When my skills get better you better start fearing my crosshairs! :icon_cunning: :icon_teeth: Don't let me catch you standing still!

    Accually....
    I'm teaching her the basics, Speed orbs, etc, then when i get my server up and running, triple shot, and in a few months, strafe jumps. She still needs to master the basics.

    I automatically assume people that play FPS games are guys, sorry about that :icon_duh:

    PS. Crimson, do you know how hard it is to shoot a speed orb while strafing backwards at 600 velocity?...well i did it (on flems), but its SO HARD!

    Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

    that's why you just charge the orb, hold down primary fire and keep hitting g (or whatever button assigned to grav gun) until it fires. works every time no matter what speed you're moving at.

    O_o, never knew that, i gotta try that later, also, when not using that technique, when going 700 velocity forward, its pretty hard aswell :S

    lol, sorry for stealing you're thread.
    We're talking about speed (velocity)
    open up console and type "cl_showpos 1" without quotes.
    Then on the top left corner of your screen, it will show you how fast you're going
    Walking = (I forget...)
    Running = 320
    Wall strafing = 420-480
    Strafe jumping = about 450- 500 if i remember correctly.
    Bunny hopping (after you perform a strafe jump on low grav) = 500-700
    I forget the exact numbers, but a strafe jump, wallstrafe and bunny hopping make you go fast.

    Ohhhhh... ok. I like being a sniper, so is bunny hopping where when I look at a person flying across the map, it looks like they are glitching? because they are going in a very rapid, jerky, up and down motion.

    That is where we strafe through the air. We do a Strafe jump then Strafe. Strafing uses a and d to move while in the air, we dont use w :P
    And when we look really jittery and glitchy, all we're doing is rapidly pressing crouch (control) up and down

    what bunny hopping is, is where you use hardly any sprint at all but you maintain your speed (mostly used on normal grav servers). It's a pain to learn, but trust me, it's SO worth it.

    Yep, but even when you use it on low grav servers, it helps, you just keep getting faster and faster. This technique and strafe jumping helps us not loose a lot sprint! but we're going 1.5x faster!
