Weeeeellllll guess what happened to me today. I got banned from hl2 by my mother. Again. :icon_sad:

She really objects to killing games. Ok, when I started playing it again like 2 months after she banned me the first time, she didn't care. Then last night me and ghost were messing around on X-Factor's server with slams and such, and ghost randomly comes up to me and starts shooting me in the face with the shotty (had buddha on). Well mom came over to say good night to me, and I turned around and there was this epic blood spray on the wall from when ghost was shooting me, and mom was like "That's nasty!" so today she banned me from hl2 again.

Hey nacho we should make a club for guys who got banned from killing games by their parents :icon_lol:

Do you think she would let you play TF2? It's pretty cartoonish looking.

Hey man hope she lets you play the games soon again with us. Tell her they are only make believe killings
and to join us playing also.
If she knows how to use a computer she would have a great time playing. Let her know that there are people like me here that also have kids and grandkids that play the servers with us and you. Hope she will be positive about this. Tell her to go to cove lake park and relax a bit (its a nice place to go and relax as i have many times myself) maybe a day there would chill her a bit lol.

She hates video games period. Unless it's a puzzle game or something like that she hates it. She thinks they're a waste of time (depends on how you play it).

TF2 would probably be fine. Only problem is, I have it but my computer can't run it well :icon_cry2:

It's laggy beyond belief even with the video settings turned all the way down.

That sucks. Bloody is not me but somehow I love violent games. Fail.

Im thinking of getting back into CTF games but its just too late at night for me right now. Maybe later. If there is ever a Sunday match or something, tell me and I'll see if I can work something out.

Tell her she's going to ruin your youth! That you're going to become a rebel kid and will dress all gothic style, and that it will affect your personality in the future LOL jk

Tell her it's just a bunch of 00100100101001010110101, i think it affects them (some parents) all those things they listen on tv, like Grand theft auto! very violent! kids grow up and become assassins! they get aggressive!...Don't let your kid play!!!!!!....BS

I think there is a limit on how much a parent let a kid play, if the boy it's doing good on school and has nice friendships and has a good family and doesn't spend 10 hrs a day playing on videogames then COMMON? whats the big deal? If you want to have fun playing instead of going to see a movie or watch tv, then whats the problem?

Tell her not to be afraid, and that you love her, and that you will grow up and be a fine person (and say it like you mean it..because you mean it... almost guarantee that you will come back to play LOL :icon_crazy:

But oh well, it's your mom, you have to do what she tells you to do, always respect your parents ; )

I agree with monitor. Games can be bad if you are the type of kid who is lost and already looking for an outlet to turn yourself into some school shooter. Otherwise.. of course playing computer games is a waste of time. That's what life is when you aren't working or doing things you have to do.. you waste your time. It's about finding something you enjoy doing. I'm sure she finds ways to waste her time that are meaningless too.. but if she enjoys it and it isn't bad, then what's the problem? Good kids need guidance, not an overbearing thrill killer.

Well I think the other reason she was concerned is because I was spending hours on end on DM and not really doing anything else. I was getting absorbed in it. Oops. :icon_barf:

I know...t's about 75/25 because I spend WAY too much time on here and she hates violent games. NOT a good combination. I'll play TF2 whenever I go to my friend's house. His comp runs it well.
