    another account hijacking virus?

    I jst received a msg from Sleezy Jeezy:

    (TKC)Sleezy Jeezy (Pimp): Hey man! You can get free prototype if you have an ATI video card! Check it out - htp://proto4ati.tk (took out the 2nd t in this http for ur protection!)

    and im guessing that this another one of those sites that will hijack ur account. Jst to give u guys a heads up... watch out for these!!

    I got that message as well.. looked at the site and left. But yeah, i'm thinking its a good practice to ignore stuff like this from friends on steam unless u are absolutely sure that it is actually your friend sending the message.

    I also got that a day or two ago. I got a message from Steam saying someone wants to start a conversation with me, I accepted and got a message and link about that Prototype game with ATI products and then the guy went offline. I ignored it all.

    Fear not death by lag or friendly fire, but death by idiots and their sires.

    I wouldn't trust anyone that sends you a website link that ends in .tk
    Cause your friend could have accidently opened it and lost their account.

    I saw an article that said websites ending in .tk , .ru and others are known to have malware/adware/viruses/trojans attached to them... and are mostly foreign websites.

    Stay away from dangerous websites ending with;
    .tk
    .info
    .ws
    .ro, or
    .ru

    People try to send you messages with links offering free games or other things but attach malware and/or viruses. I believe this is what happened to Don Juan, cause i got a msg from him with a link ending in .tk

    This is from a few months ago when Don lost his account
