I wonder how many of those picking shotgun would of previously picked something else but have discovered they can cheat by using the exploit?

No Orbs, eh? lol. An AR2 and a .357 will kick booty.

It's too bad that we have to play with people who will use any small exploit to make it easier to score well. It's too bad that Valve won't fix the problem so we're forced to either learn how to exploit the shotgun ourselves or just deal with it and be the victims of others who care only about the bottom line, kpd. I think it sucks that i've actually spent a little bit of time trying to figure out the exploit because I felt compelled to learn it just so I could keep up. I think it sucks that we can't play the game within the parameters it was meant to be played.

Long story short, it sucks and is too bad.

I didn't even know there was a shotgun exploit until I read this, but I can actually keep up with everybody without using any exploits. And I'm guessing nobody's going to tell me how to use it?

I must admit though I do speed orb every now and then

He's talking about the triple shot with the shotgun. There's a glitch in the game that if you do a double shot and then a single shot right behind it, you'll do the same amount of damage as both in a single blast. It also only takes 2 shells.

Speed orb.. I would argue that that isn't an exploit because there isn't a situation where after shooting the orb, you haven't lost any orbs. Like with the shotgun exploit you get triple shot but only use 2 shells. In addition, it's very obvious that someone is using a speed orb and yet, you say you didn't even know there was a shotgun exploit... see the difference? It is a worthy argument however.

Oh and FYI Crimson, I noticed you're ranked 185 on either Flem's or Squid's.. that would place you about 170 places behind where I used to consistently be when I was playing on those servers essentially every day.. so yeah, the people i'm trying to "keep up with" might not be the same people you "keep up with".

The people I keep up with arent keeping up with me. Since Im unranked, it shows as ranked "0". In numerical order, 0 comes before 1. Therefore I have beaten even one without taking a shot.

Math win.

And that is how wars should be fought. lol

I like the Crossbow the best.... I can successfully use the Geometry (angles and forces) and timing behind it... especially when the target is flying in the air. I only wish it would load faster. You usually only get 1... possibly 2 shots off before you die in a battle. The two things that usually kill me the most are the ORB and the Tossed Nade... I sure wish I could get the old fingers working faster and better with MY Nade tossing PJ's

I know about the exploit, but i don't use it. A 357 shot and a blast from the shotgun does the trick for me on squids, or multiple 357 shots for all those base campers.

I chose the 357 but I probably get more satisfaction from a crossbow kill.
