Hello Mom of mk steatlth enigma AKA Nacho, would you please let your son play? just think about it...he can be doing drugs, drinking (don't do that nacho ok, even if you don't want to play!!!) etc etc but the boy just wants to play, you know..have a little fun.. so what do you say? .........LOL

If anyone could somehow convince that my "psychology" wouldnt be effected and use big words, we might get somewhere.

I'm one of the clan leaders of TKC where your son plays mostly. I'm 41, happily married, and have 4 kids. At TKC we do our very best to run a pleasant environment with no cussing, cheating, or vulgar behavior of any kind. While I understand that might not be your concern in this case let me just stress that I do not believe that gaming can negatively affect anyone who doesn't already have a predisposition toward violence. I grew up a 1st generation gamer. My parents bought one of those pong/hockey games you hooked up to the TV and after that the atari 2600, etc. I'm fairly stable I'd say and live in a nice house and work as a professional php developer. I can't seem to remember ever having gone 'postal' or experiencing violent thoughts because I enjoyed Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3 or even Half-Life 2. Actually those games provide a very nice release and I think in many cases can serve as a positive influence especially when someone gets involved with a good clan like your son.

Your son is playing with people who value friendship, teamwork and safe playing environments for anyone who cares to play on one of our servers and I think it's a shame that we haven't been able to have fun with your boy. I can't say I know "Nacho" like you, so maybe you feel he does have a tendency toward violence and this IS the best thing for him, but if not, please let him play again as I miss my capture the flag partner.

My Mom loved reading that. She does want to know when you started playing violent games like HL2, Doom, etc. And how many hours per week do you play violent games like HL2, etc per week she asks?

I've been playing those games for many years and several hours a week. Sometimes I get interested in other things like the website and I won't play for a few weeks, but when i'm playing it's usually for a couple hours a day at least.

BTW i'm very conservative and don't appreciate things like rap music that degrades cops or women, socially conservative, etc.

If you choose not to let your boy play that is certainly within your right as a parent and a mom, I just wonder if it really makes a big difference? If he is truly in a dangerous category where these games could affect him, then I would guess he will feed that insidious part of his brain elsewhere. At least if he's hanging out with me, and some of the other parents and GRAND parents we have in TKC we can keep an eye on him.

Regardless, I wish there were more parents like you because the kids today have no respect for anything. My wife and I don't even go to movies we think kids might be attracted to unless we can get there before 6. They go to movies to talk on phones and be disruptive.. drives us both nuts. Oh well, that's another story and i'm at work so I should try to do a little bit of it. haha

Personally I hate anyone with a phone out at a movie. And I want to see GI Joe for the record.
