(TKC)-o]T3[o ,i'd like to know if some times you schedule a game for only member of the clan?? And do you know if there is a way to download the map sever to make it easy and stop paying for net downloading ????:icon_surprised:

I think you might be refering to CTF. If thats the case, then yes we do have get togethers.CTF (capture the flag) is a mod, you need to download the exe from a website and then autorun the exe to install the game.

yes but it is complicated there are things u NEED to know BEFORE you install so get with one of us after u dloaded it, there is a post about how to do in the CTF area of the forum but i think only TKC members can see that... let me see if i can get it.

Well for downloading it shouldnt cost any money don't actually know if that was part of you question hope it helps.

ok well i cant find where it is posted but heres this and once you dload it get with someone that has installed so that they can quickly walk u throuh it.

Due the fact that I'm unfortunately without a microphone, I'm going to give a detailed summary of some of the general info that I have learned and researched.

Modes:

1) Capture The Flag - this involves attacking the other teams base, stealing their flag and then returning it back to your own base to score points. You may only capture the other teams flag after the other one has been returned to its base . The team that reaches the score cap first or has the most points wins,.
2) Domination - both teams battle over one flag. The team that holds it the longest wins the match.
3) Football (my favorite) - the flag is placed in the middle of the field at the fifty yard line. Both teams start at their endzone(base) and charge for the flag, capture it and return it to the opposing teams base. If you are either killed or score a cap then you will be spawned back at your base.
4) Reverse ctf - In this mode you are guarding the opposing teams flag while trying to retrun your own from the opps base.

Runes - these combat advantages are displayed by various colored power packs as shown by their name below. You may only obtain one rune at a time:

1) Double Damage - enbables the player to give twice as much damage as normal
2) Shield - this will protect you from a certain amount of damage
3) Regen - heals you by 6hp per second up to 100 HP
4) Drain - everytime you damage somoeone you get healed about 1/4 of the damage you inflicted
5) Cloak - when standing still you are completely invisible while upon moving you are semi-invisible

New Weapons:

1) Alyx Pistol - 25 bullet clip plus two firing modes: automatic and semi-auto. Right-click to engage semi action.
2) Combine Sniper Rifle - has two level zoom while inflicitng 100 damage. Bullets can go through walls, players and physics but gives your postion away with a trail from the shooters location.
3) OICW - this machine gun can use secocndary air bursts explosive rounds with the ability to zoom.

I hope that this information helps out the learning process of playing CTF. The true way of learning the tricks of the trade is just by showing up and playing.

Download the mod
1. http://www.cashworks.org/files/hl2ctf/h ... 1_full.exe
2. Shut down Steam (Very important)
3. Double-click the hl2ctf_full.exe installer you downloaded.
4. Verify the location of your SourceMods folder.
5. Click Install and overwrite all files.
6. Run Steam

If this is what your looking for This is the easiest way to get there and follow this ....#2 is the most important exit all the way out of steam or it will not work ....

well i just gotta say that if you have the free version of HL2DM (like I do), CTF will install, but won't work (like it did to me). You have to have the 5 $ version for CTF to work.

Because you don't get all the components of the game with the freeware version.

Hey you probably need to get the exe like i did and not the zip file.
i could not get the zip file to work because it was incomplete. The exe has all you need and all you have to do is turn steam all the way off, log out and the re log in after you do the execute of the application. If you do not log completely out, it will not install correctly.
