After updating the driver for my x-fi XtremeGamer soundblaster my mic boost was all hosed up now Flynn says he can't hardly hear me most of the time because I had to turn it off due to static. I decided just to get a new sound card since it is one of the components that can actually be affordable if you don't go too high end. I ended up with this:
