Say goodbye to tkc.clanservers.com, we are finally moving to a proper web hosting company and will become clan-tkc.com (which we already own and redirects to tkc.clanservers.com). This is something I've wanted to do for a long time and the time has come. Benefits are:

1) We'll have a proper domain name clan-tkc.com sounds better than tkc.clanservers.com. We'll be taken more seriously by some.
2) Cheaper. $12.95 to $10.00 a month. That's $2.95 a month savings. Not huge but every little bit helps.
3) Faster. Our new host uses SSD drives and opcode caching software for PHP, eAccelerator.
4) Backups. We will now have daily backups done for us and if something happens to the site, we'll be able to recover.
5) More disk space. We now have 4x's the amount of disk space we had.
6) More bandwidth. A little more than double the bandwidth we had.

That pretty much sums it up. We will put into place a redirect at tkc.clanservers.com for at least a few months to make sure people can find us.

I am still getting the new site situated so as we have as few problems as possible with the switch which should be happening in the next couple of days.

I've run into some problems with our calendar.. it might delay our move to the new domain.

*UPDATE
I am trying to fix the calendar and to do that I have had to request a new license key for the new domain name. That means I've had to disable the calendar for this website. Until we are on the new domain, the calendar feature will not be available.

*UPDATE 2
I believe the calendar on the new site is now working properly. I will be doing more testing tomorrow, if all goes well, we might start the propagation process to the new server but it might be Tuesday (my day off). During the propagation of the new domain, things might be a little weird. Some of you might be taken to the old site, some to the new. There isn't really anything that can be done about that but it usually takes 4 or 5 hours for the process to finish completely for everyone.

nameservers have been updated. We will soon be on the new domain name. I will have to close these forums for now so that people aren't confused. We will be back up and running soon on the new domain: http://www.clan-tkc.com.

We are now on the new domain! I have also setup a redirect from tkc.clanservers.com to www.clan-tkc.com.

I will create a new thread for reporting bugs you might find that you think are related to the domain name switch.
