points dont show up anymore

Why dont the points for Kills and deaths not show up anymore in game like they use to ... Could we get some help here .. ding ding ding

I've heard form several people that someone hacked the stats in the servers. They don't show up when you type rank, session, top10 etc...but if you go to hlstatsx website the points are still recorded. Idk who hacked it but it does need to be fixed. T3, you got any idea what happened with it?

No one hacked hlstats... the problem was from earlier this week when we changed all the rcon password, I never changed the passwords in HLstatsX. I fixed it a little while ago and you should be good now.

I too play competitively but I found it fun. Nobody knew how well they were doing and were therefore being a bit more reckless. It was fun while it lasted.

You could of always gone straight to the HLstatsX website. It was still recording things it just couldn't report it back to the server if someone typed 'rank'. It also didn't give the normal info about points when you killed or died.

Of course there are a couple of ways to go directly to the HLstatsX page, one is, if you're a member from the control panel on the main website. The other is here at the forums under TKC Menu>TKC HLstatsX and then pick the server.

Sometimes I wish the server just went by total kills, that way people would rush out and not care so much about being killed. The way the scoring is now, you get penalized so heavily for a death (when your 1st), it sucks. At least by total kills you reward people for playing the most on the server, and encourage people to play longer.

Yeah, we're not really interested in rewarding people who play longer.

I say the penalty for death be reduced by half. So if i die instead of losing 15 points, I lose 8 for example. Odd numbers round up.

some servers like the nemesis server only lets you lose up to the maximum of 4 points, while allowing you to obtain the maximum of 15 points for a kill.
