USA scores an improbable upset of world #1 Spain who was sporting a 35 game unbeaten streak and are reigning Euro champions. USA beats them 2-0 to advance to the Confederation Cup Final. ;)

Devils advocate: Correct me if im wrong, but spain only managed 2 goals in 3 games, all, by the way, came in their last match (against finland too - but nothing better than beating up on albinos :icon_twisted: ).

...and remember, USA was beaten by an italian kid from brooklyn.

(need not mention Canada -- but i've i played for them we would have at least qualified :icon_crazy: )

I saw the highlights of USA defeating Spain in futbol. That was hilarious. Now we are in the finals. But we wont stand a chance at all to Italia. Italia is mucho beast.

And considering they just beat the worlds #1 i'd say they have a fine chance.. it's still a long shot (unless south africa upsets brazil) but its still a shot. just like the one they had today.

I never understood the attitudes of some... i've actually seen people, quite a few, say that they don't care about soccer so they don't care about the US national team. What kind of attitude is that? I don't give a rip about 'curling' either but if the US team is in some competition I want them to do well. It's like when the olympics roll around, there are all kinds of sports being played that I don't normally watch or cheer for, but I'm always for the US team and will cheer them on.

Some ppl are just stupid.. and that's all I have to say about that.
