His management style was crude and his wardrobe was plain, but you cannot say enough about Steve Jobs. The tech giant, who quite literally transformed the consumer tech market, has been no short of a wonder for Apple, the world super-brand Jobs founded - and then later saved from fading away.
Health, however, was not on the side of technology's most celebrated star, and following his August resignation as Apple's CEO, Jobs died Wednesday. In honour of the 56-year-old, MSN looks back at the career milestones of the billionaire, the iPod maker, the husband and the father of four.

You kinda figured he was close to death when he did step down. Pancreatic Cancer is a no win situation. Thats what did my mom in back in December :icon_sad: . He just had the money to hold out longer than she did but the end result is the same. He did do wonders for the tech we now have and forced other companies to keep up and keep on amazing us every day with what is possible.

I read this sad news on an iPod touch via the USAtoday app, which blew my mind. He had a lot of fans, and a lot of haters, but in the end, what he did with Apple was nothing short of amazing. He really was a visionary and he changed the world as we know it.

I agree with TK, between him pushing apple to what it is today (King of mobile devices for MP3 and tablets) and helping Pixar get the amazing movies it has today, steve jobs should never be forgotten as long as either of those two things exist.

this is so true... this is what apple has done...

my 2yr old's pick up my iPod Touch or and iPad and take to it immediately, flipping through screens, opening apps, etc. Everything else in the world to them is broken in comparison.

Considering we probably would not have PC's as advanced as we do without him...I wouldn't go that far. He did create the first home PC after all.
