BFBC2 keeps disconnecting

It seemed to work just fine earlier this week. But today, every single time i've connected to a BC2 server it lags up and disconnects me in about a minute. I've tried about 20 times and it does it every single time. HALP PLZ

you did update BC2 last week?

well according to steam, there are no new updates i need to do. Someone told me there was a patch last week but i have no idea where or how to download a patch.

Was your game purchased through Steam? Or is it retail? If it was purchase through Steam it should have already downloaded the patch automatically. It's a 2GB patch so it's hard to miss lol. If it didn't download it for some reason, right click on BC2 on your steam list, click properties. Now go to the Local Files tab, and click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." Steam will check all the BC2 files and if it didn't download the patch, it will detect that and download and apply it.

If you have retail, go to the BC2 install folder (I think it's C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield Bad Company 2\bfbc2updater.exe). I may be off as to the real location and name of the updater because I run through Steam and I don't have the retail version.

Also try updating PunkBuster if that doesn't work.
