TKC (The Killing Committee) Forum

Just looking to see what kind of interest is out there from non-TKC. Any questions? Ill be glad to explain anything i can and i am hoping to get some of the HL2DM community involved. We're not asking alot donation wise just a little something to help keep our servers going. THere has been alot of time spent by the clan leaders and i myself have slaved myself silly making maps ( and im learning alot more too). The earliest versions of maps are a far cry from what im making now ( but im still not that good - just passable by my standards.) Were hoping to maybe make this an annual event and participation is gonna determine this. IM hoping as well that if we do have another that i can take ideas for maps and make something out of it. We might even have winners choose stuff for the next year as well. Were also looking into awards for the winners of events. Maybe an honorary title or allowing choices in maps on a server or a special tag to wear on our servers. Also we will be recording matches and have these videos viewable somewhere. There will also be an announcement listing winners here and on our homepage as well.

May I suggest you make one of the Server names something like "TKC Open Tournament - Prizes for winning" and have either the details pop up or direct people here, to read about it. Maybe post on steam forums or any other places that people are. Then again, I don't know if you already have done this + I dunno how big you want this thing to be.

May I also suggest you take some of the money and buy a fkn prize for the 1st place winner/winners. I know that cuts into the whole fund raising thing, but people like prizes.

we thought about that, but at only $2 an event if we get 8 people and once paypal takes their cut what kinda prize could we buy and then ship to the winner for a only a couple bucks? it would be something not even worth it. would u want to win a set of batteries? or how about a tape measure? Were seriously not asking someone to spend a million bucks. if u wanted to participate in every event its $13. and were hoping that we get the people that always play on our servers and would like to see those servers continue to operate. I agree that prizes would be nice, its something we talked about alot. If we were to have another one next year with a good turn out this year maybe we could up prices a little bit and then have some prizes.

Get T3's wife to throw in a pair of panties..

or on a more serious note, you could throw in a $5 steam game.
