PC owns consoles
If there's a debate I love to get involved in, it's the PC vs. Console FPS gamers one. As a devout PC gamer, I've come to prefer a mouse + keyboard configuration much more than the gamepad solution that console gamers have become accustomed. I've tried to get used to a gamepad, but I can't. Because of it, I never beat most FPS console games I purchase, like Halo 3 and Perfect Dark: Zero.
Even the biggest FPS console gamers can't discredit the fact that control is better on the PC, because it's a proven fact. Take a look at Quake Done Quickest if you need a good example. Let's see anything like that done on a console!
More "proof" can be seen with a competition DICE has been holding, involving the Battlefield 2 expansion pack, Vietnam. I'm not sure of the specific details, but players on both the console and PC version of the game are required to complete "team actions" in game, in order to unlock a remastered version of a map from the original Battlefield: Vietnam game. While the PC gamers have finished, the console counterparts haven't even made it halfway through.
It's important to note that there could be other reasons behind this aside from the game being harder to control, but I can't see them. While some games are better on a console, like racing, platform and some adventure, FPS games belong on the PC. I'll stand by that forever!
