A group of hackers have during the last 12 hours brought down Minecraft, EvE, Escapist Magazine and LoL.
They have posted several posts on Twitter where they seem pretty pleased about what they have done.

Edit: Apparently they were having some kind of fun night where people got to request sites/games and they would crash them.
Also: They brought down Brink yesterday.

I think its sad that people are in an uproar over when the FBI forcefully removed malware from infected computers so they would cease being part of botnets yet they have the same outcry when this sort of thing happens. DDoS attacks don't just come from one hackers computer. They come from multiple machines.
They seem to like attacking gamers too. I guess it's ironic because they see hacking as a game yet they attack us. The difference is we're not sadists (even though we kill people in game) and they are.

i unfortunately dont give them the respect of calling them hackers i call them 12 year old lamers, with the inability to get a hardon.

The thing is they're not 12. They're of the only people of 4Chan who know anything, and they abuse that. They enjoy reactions of others, and the only way they could possibly no longer get a kick out of it is if no one cares or reacts. You see how the Twitter posts are of the leader laughing his butt off at articles "making fun" of them? Because they did exactly what LulzSec wanted. Get pissed. The big problem with that is there are way to many people on the internet who have a complete lack of understanding, so they'll go upon their impulsive reactions to their favorite games falling to the ground for a day or two.

yeah i know pen i just think that being in computers that people can hack but others who do what they do are lamers and i never go and get pissy like the remaining half the population. its just stupid of them to do thats all if they really wanted to do something with that knowledge create an unhackable system for the USA or hack other countries so that they can get paid for info.

Wow it turns out they hacked a few government servers as well as the FBI. I'm not sure what the exact American law is for that but pretty sure its a federal offense. If they get caught now their screwed.
