Microsoft fails to impress anything but the fanboys with multi-platform trailers and Halo 4.

Sony introduces more impressive features of the Move and introduces the NGP as the Playstation Vita, at an amazing sub-$300 price tag.

Nintendo brings forth an advancement in the 3DS system update, ginging further info on later titles to both the Wii and 3DS. They also introduced the Wii U, which is the Wii's successor, with graphical capabilities beyond that of the competitors, enormous third party support, and a revolutionary controller.

Anyone else excited? PCs are great, but they don't have everything.

I don't get excited about consoles any more... I play my wii sometimes with the family, that's about it. Real gaming is done on the PC for me.

Easy to understand. Since the last console generation, the Xbox 360 and PS3 have just been toned down PCs with the same games and a younger age group of a network. Nintendo's Wii was the most innovative, but it didn't impress a huge bunch of "hardcore" gamers who stuck to the FPS games and other popular genres currently.

The Vita is $250 which is very comparable to an Android tablet and iPad. Im looking forward to getting a Playstation Vita... Not necessarily for games(I might buy a couple, because all of my friends have PSPs, and also, we can connect via systemlink and play vs each other) ..but it would be nice to browse the internet with touch screen(Wifi included), watch movies, listen to music, take it to places..etc on it.. 3G is too expensive for that... But of course I'm cheap so I'll probably wait either until boxing day or when its on sale.. Oh wait.. Boxing day might not work.. Im planning to buy new parts for a PC on boxing day.. Hopefully Intel's new ivy Bridge will be released by then..

Notice that when they showcased BF3 they used a PC. Not a 360 or PS3. That's because the 360 and PS3 cannot handle the full graphic potential of BF3, so they're showing off the PC awesomeness. ;)

HA. Now that's funny. I read a news post about BF3 from DICE a friend showed me and it said they crashed THEIR OWN computers the first time they started it up because it was too much to handle. Wii U my a**. :P

Besides, if you're trying to spark an argument how home consoles aren't as powerful as PCs, you're wasting time, as that's a proven fact. All I'm saying is that they are still powerful machines, as the Wii U's graphical demo looks like something out of 3DMark 11. BF3 is set to have a Wii U release.

That is a major improvement from the Wii, but still looks something out of a mid-end 360 or PS3 game. Still, that's a HUGE improvement. And I wasn't trying to start an argument, my original point was that only PC's can capture the full graphics potential of BF3. It's not going to look anywhere near as good on consoles as on PC. From your last comment, it sounded like you were saying that the Wii U could play BF3 to its fullest, which it can't...I can guarantee that.
