I want to try making a basic game of risk in Java. I believe I have all the necessary skills and even asked my teacher a few alternative ways to do something I had trouble figuring out. I only have one more obstacle to over come. I have to figure out the rules. I never played the game before and would appreciate just the general rules. I tried looking them up but am having trouble understanding certain aspects. Anyone have a link to the rules that are explained in the most basic terms possible?

I did a quick read and its missing some simple things like how may units each player has to deploy on the first turn. I think its 11 but i could be wrong. Anyway if u could play a couple games it might help fill in any gaps that a rule list leaves.
Steam has a new risk game that just went on sale recently it has a timed demo. I would buy it except i dont like having to actually watch each ai players step by step do their turns. Some previous versions let u skip through those and it makes the games like 10 times faster. Ai does seem improved tho so i might buy it on sale.
There are also alot of free clones which would actually let u finish a game(steam demo ends before you finish :icon_evil: )
Good luck Risk rox!
