edit: it only saves around $70.00+ but man thats pretty cool, buy a 6950 and upgrade to a 6970 for free.
looks like AMD is throwing in some XTRAS to beat out NVIDIA yet again

i read about some of AMD's X2 and X3 cpus could be opened to 4 cores.

eh, maybe in the past they did (before 2010) but the new catalyst drivers are amazing 10.12 added new interface
+ w/ monthly driver updates we are always getting performance boosts out of our games
