Xbox360 users! Hear my cry!

ok so for a while now ive been using my box to sync music from my laptop. after i had reinstalled NOD32 Antivirus, it didnt work i guess do to a firewall that came with the NOD download. so i uninstalled it, and i could sync once again. now, suddenly and with no firewall on or antivirus installed, i cannot communicate with the 360. whats odd is that i can load and play my library in WMC with the 360.

i simply dont get what could be blocking communication. anyone else experienced this?

I never encountered that problem btw since I never synced it to my computer.

i guess sync isnt the correct term. it was streamed.

Most likely the lack of responses is because many of the members here are likely to be solely PC gamers, because PC gaming brought us together.

Could be the ports getting blocked in your router as most of them have a built-in firewall. Try this on for size.

thanks for that link DJ. thing is, i can use my 360 as a Windows Media Extender no problem. the only issue is the simple steam ability that Windows Media Player has. In a nutshell, all i do is click on "Stream" in WMP, enable the 360 to receive, open up the media source selection screen on 360, select my laptop and boom - theres my library. the reason i dont use WMC is that 1). its really slow and 2). you cant run it while playing games.

idk, im prob just gonna partition my external HD and designate a certain amount of space in FAT32 (think thats what the 360 uses) and use that as a source instead of streaming.

Try hitting Microfail up and see if they can help you out more. I'm sure you can just email them your problem and someone from Bangkok will help you out. :D
