The excitement for the games launch definitely paid off for Activision as they sold over 5.6 million copies in one day, netting over $360 million dollars.

well until the new WoW expansion comes out next month.. over 12 million subscribers needing a their crack fix. as soon as i get internet at the house i will be playing black ops though

i dont think expansions count since they already have a base game? but either way whoa. over 5.5 million on day one. ludicrous.

does it actually count as "in one day"? thousands of people (maybe more) got this game a few weeks before launch. Ok, 5.5 million minus a few thousands still gives about 5.5 million, but its not in one day!

i hope the game will be worth the buy. i doubt ill end up gettin it myself but its only a matter of time before my roommate breaks down and buys it. i must say tho, it was really sad to see the population of MoH on the 360 decrease sharply (and i mean sharp) once BlOps came out (BlOps = Black Ops btw ). i personally love MoH and i guess i shouldnt be suprised that more ppl play BlOps than Moh, but still its a fantastic game IMO. not to mention that it came with an invite to the new Battlefeild beta.

ppl who loved the nuke (which was probably just about everyone aside from the ppl who could never reach it) will be disappointed as the kill streak cap is now 11. no more shotguns as secondaries (which makes sense) among other adjustments.

It's definitely the most over reacted game series in the world since 40% are little kids that have blind parents, 40% are teenagers who will buy any game that there friends have just to have it and be awesome, and the last 20% are hardcore gamers who play the game for fun and not to be serious, so...

I don't like the game because it is so unrealistic, and beleive me I love games but whenever its real life things such as WAR games...I want realism, or future games, Halo for example I don't really care if its not realistic. I just hate how there are so many people who say this game is AMAZING AND CAN TOP OTHERES ON 360 ANY DAY!....Shut up seriously. I did this to my friend and I convinced him to play Bad Company 2 with me and I said back to him "Want to go play Black Ops now?" Him "No hang on I want to keep playing this is so much fun!"

I hate it when little kids say call of duty is the most realistic game ever. Show me some one do a 360 noscope in real life. or just even a noscope. or just doing a across the map throwing knife, or....(could go on for EVAR!!) NO. BC2 has way better gameplay (even though its has bugs), and i just cant stop thinking of BF3!

I am HATING the dual wielding weapons. It is the most ridiculous pile of crap I have ever seen. I thought they had gotten rid of most if it with the release of this game but last night I was killed by a guy wielding DUAL shotguns! Realistic my ace. And the knife is the most OP weapon in the game. Stupid how fast it is. Let me get this straight, I can only sprint about 20 meters before I'm spent, but by God I can slash your throat with a knife in about 0.1 second?

The game is fun, it's not as good as Bad Company 2 at all, not as good as COD4 if you ask me, but still a good time. But dual wielding weapons makes me just roll my eyes and realize how many little punk kids they are marketing to with this game.

Which army in the real world put flamethrowers on M16s? lol.

*sigh* If and I say again IF IF IF! Battlefield 3 is the big hype and it is basically Battlefield 2 with Bad Company 2 skins type ordeal then I will absoloutely LOVE BF3 and that is exactly why I am going to try Battlefield Play4Free because they said this would bridge the gap between BF2 and BC2 so I gots mah fingers crossed!

Well i hope that BF3 has a different engine than BC2. Dont want that hitbox bug or awesome failing collision physic.

sooo my roommate broke down much sooner than i thought haha. came home last night and saw that he bought BlOps. theres a few things that i dont like but overall, i must say the game is quite enjoyable.

kinda sad tho, the Rifelman, Spec Ops and Sniper classes in MoH were all at 14, looks like they will stay there for a while haha.

I played for many hours this weekend and I'm not impressed.

1. The maps seem no bigger than an average sized residential lot when your playing. There also maze like.
2. The nade throw made me bust out laughing, there's an 8 year old girl here that can throw farther.
3. Over contrasted to make up for mediocre graphics.
4. No access to Ariel vehicles, at least on my skill level that I could see. But somebody sure had them.
5. Server search is a joke. No box to type in a query.
6. There's virtually nothing to do if your there alone.
7. Steam still hasn't allowed me to play the single player yet, keeps saying "try again later"

On the plus side:

1. Doesn't take half a clip to drop someone, just a few rounds in the right spot.
2. Didn't get lag... ping was ok at 100 - 114 for TKC.
3. I think there's the ability to sight from the nose of a missile...cool.
4. RCV was nice even though it caught me sleeping many times.
5. Like the prone thing, DMP used it flawlessly to make me look like a sucker.

I can't really get interested in this game to much. But good for practicing your aim because I don't mind dieing a lot.
There's a kid here, say around 14 to 16, that really likes it a lot so I'll point him to the TKC server and try to get him to use it exclusively and maybe join the clan, if he's not to young that is.
